Leaving the Schlecks at home and take Klöden as leader would be best i think. Impossible to do of course, but with Klöden they would get at least a top10 in gc i think, which i'm not sure Frandy will be able to achieve.
I was thinking the same but with Fuglsang instead of Klöden
Then Andy practically won't have raced at all this year
Then he'll race the Vuelta, has a nice fight with Contador, but gets kicked out of it by JB because he visits a disco and returns to the hotel at 3 in the morning before the queens stage, or something like that.

He is the worst possible type of rider - he has an ego but no palmares to justify it. Not only that but he seems to feel like he deserves a Tour victory just because he is a great climber.

He's a great climber in Le Tour after sitting around for the entire year. One can only wonder how well he'd do it Le Tour if he would go for other races as well.

I'd think he would perform better in the Tour if he would race more. Don't know why, just a feeling
Pozzato sucks!

I think you are guys very fast in ruling him out, i think he will easily finish in top 5, if he will ride and will be healthy.

Stupid to assume don't Fränk or/and Andy won't make the final roster for the Tour. Fränk shoved good shape in Suisse at Verbier and was probably the strongest there, while Andy has rode at the podium the last 3 years. You don't leave such riders at home and instead helping Klöden to a possible top-10. That's just ridiculous and I don't think that you guys who said it are serious. Think at the reaction. Cancellera, Andy and Fränk are 100% to make the Tour.
Littlemagnum: I have the same feeling. In 2009 Andy won Liege and seemed in very, very good shape, at least to me, heading in the Tour. Ufortunately he rode against a Contador who without a doubt rode his best Tour and was Armstrong-like in the mountains. I don't get why he at least not tries to unleash his full potential, because he is a really scary rider. Remember when he won Liege? Leaving all behind with 35 kilometers to go, riding alone and winning with a +1 min. margin to the rest of the field.

Would be nice if Andy just did work for Frank instead of how it is now because I think Frank could actually win the tour.
Instead he blows himself up for his brother to watch him never learn how to TT.
I still think that after seeing the 2012 Tour route, Andy just said screw it because he obviously has not chance with a route like this. He should have entered the Giro he probably could have won that. |

I agree. F seems much stronger atm, I doubt he could win, but I think he could do better than A. |

No way. Andy does this year after year. He's nowhere before the start of July and at that point starts climbing better than anyone all of the sudden.
Suspicious? Yes, sir!

In Dutch: https://www.nrc.nl...de-france/
According to the Luxembourg newspaper "Tagesblatt", Andy broke a vertebrae in the Dauphinée, and should take a 6 week rest.
If that's true, the Tour will be a bit boring as there are no attacking climbers left, only time trial climbers as Wiggins and Evans....

Sky arent going to be chasing down breakaways on every stage at the Tour. Unless they have rubbish tactics, which some might argue...
