according to Millar, the course is far faster and not nearly as hard as everyone thought it would be from the altitude profile.

For the moment there is no investigation on him. as such, it's only fair he should ride. however, I do hope he doesn't win. because there's a decent chance he'll be suspended in the near future.
and a suspended world champion is just what this sport doesn't need. No investigation on him, that's true, because despite all evidences, his federation refuses to lead an investigation about him. My eyes ache when I'm reading this is Justice...
@whoever talked about Zabel : yes it's sad he's here, but the fact he's German is irrelevant. Neither the organisers nor his German teammates want him to be there, simply his coach and federation chairman do.
Valverde and the others' coaches and federations want them there, but unlike a confirmed doper the organizers aren't allowing them. Valverde will be there because CAS made the right decision, with the facts of the case. But that doesn't change the fact that the organizers were going to allow Zabel to ride.

Grabsch catches Vandborg for two minutes and Pinotti for 1 at the same time

actually, they didn't want him to ride. they just didn't try to stop him.

Zabriskie does not look good at all for now. and he is definitely not one of those who accelerates as he goes along.
the quote of the day belongs to cyclingnews
"Larsson shakes his head, as he comes in with the fifth best time. No medal for the Spaniard"
Cancellara already blitzing the field at the first time check...

Brillianly won, Fabian. Absolutely superb.

I didn't bet against Cancellara thatthat. What I was betting on was to Millar beating Bodrogi and Gutierrez beating Grabsch.
Gutierrez seemed "stuck to the road" and Millar was just a failure. |

in my humble opinion, I consider Millar, GutiƩrrez and Zabriskie to be overrated as time triallists.
but I agree that Millar is better than what he showed today.
