And that caps off a very disappointing season for Hesjedal. Its like his mentality has changed a bit, he's riding too defensively.

That was a bit dissapointing.
First everyone looking at Gilbert. Then Gilbert decides to do nothing.
Then Gesink attacks 10 times, but couldn't shake them like last year.
Then the inevitable happens when peloton only reacts to 2 riders. Some others get a gap and win the race.
Meh.
Still exciting last km/last lap though. Well done Costa who was again involved in like 15 moves... |

Gesink against dutch press, says that there was too much headwind on the climb, which made it impossible to get away compared to last year |

He had no chance to win the sprint, so he'd as well work to assure 3rd (which he couldn't).

Didn't see anyone mentioning it but today Fédrigo returned to his good results, after a not so good season. One rider I like to see racing too. |

It's was a great race this year. The only thing I don't like is the KOM. No real classic had a KOM race.

Lots do actually, all the Ardennes ones anyway.

Actually he was ill, bitten by a tick, most likely, which gave him a weakening disease.
Still it's good to see him back to a good level.
It seemed to me the gear he was pulling in the last hundreds of meter was somewhat too big... |

He has no chance of doing that. He's not a stage racer.

On L'Equipe I read a guy expressing his opinion about Blot (who won Fourmies), saying "some even think he might be the next Hinault and shine on the TDF roads any time soon".
I had to sarcasm him as well... Kids nowadays... |

We know the reason why he climbed like that, and the WADA can prevent it now. I certainly don't want Costa to 'improve' like that.
