this is the one case where I have to admit...I'm not fully convinced of his guilt...
I mean...testosterone levels take weeks to go back to normal....his were normal for days, then onde day a gigantic spike, then back to normal the next day? very strange There was already exogen (non-natural) testosterone in his urine of the previous days (found in later tests ordered by the court ; Landis claimed the court didn't have the right to ask for those tests to be performed, but fact is that the tests results show he was already using testosterone earlier in the Tour de France 2006).
His testosterone level wasn't abnormal, it was the ratio between his testosterone and his epitestosterone which got abnormal that day he was caught.
I don't feel sorry for such blatant liars...
Like Armstrong or Vinokourov, or whoever, he doesn't really mind the suspension, his main objective is to create a doubt about his guiltiness (that will benefit him) among his fans, so that he doesn't lose their support (and sponsors support, etc.), his strategy is merely to try to appear like a victim where he's the culprit.
Admitting it all from the start would cost him more money on the long term, which is very probably why he didn't admit it. |

yes, I realise that's his objective in case he's guilty.
I disagree strongly on Armstrong. Feeling successful, superior and in control is everything to him. if he were to be suspended, it would kill him.
but that's a different matter

Here it is :
https://www.cyclin...apr23news3
Just for information : the IRMS method (to measure the amount of endogen (natural) and exogen (non-natural) testosterone) is used only in case of abnormal testosterone:epistestosterone ratio.
Landis samples all had a correct T:E ratio, except on stage 17, thus, at first, only that sample was tested according to the IRMS method. His other samples from various TDF 2006 stages were tested again last Spring (see the link I gave), according to the IRMS method, and despite having an authorised E:T ratio. The results overwhelm Landis. |

oh almost forgot
Voss beats Cooke to World Cup win.
Nicole had a knee injury which she's flying back tonight to get into hospital to sort out before the worlds. Voss took advantage. Voss was 80 points behind at the start of the day. It was the final round in Nurnberger
Finishing
Voss - 403 points
Cooke - 337
And that rounds off the Women's world cup 2007
Next up for the women is the Worlds

How laughable is it to spell the easiest name of Vos wrong (no extra s). Lol
Marianne Vos. And it isn't stolen either, she was also the best in the hardest classic, the Fleche Wallone. |

- Pat McQuaid now says that cyclists should get a lifetime ban when they are caught
- And it's now 100 % official that Marc Biver won't be a part of Astana next season. And it's also almost 100 % official that Bruyneel will take over. |

it's just a huge shame as she lead rigth from the start and then to loose it because she couldn't race, is a pity, but things happen
and it also won't help her Worlds preperation either, when she said herself the course favours her riding very much, and she was in great form

This is getting more ridiculous than the on-going fight between ASO and UCI. Let's get back to the middle of Tour de France. The Danish Cycling Federation announces they will not select Michael Rasmussen for the World Championships and the Olympics. Why? Because he has received two warnings from Anti Doping Danmark / UCI.
Now, let's fast forward to yesterday. Matti Breschel was officially selected for the Danish squad for the World Championship. And how many warnings did he receive until now? Yes, correct - two from Anti Doping Danmark.
This once again proves the vendetta there's going on from the Danish Cycling Federation towards Michael Rasmussen. Thanks for stealing a Tour de France-victory from us

And in other news:
UCI has reacted in the Valverde-case. They're now saying that Valverde should take a DNA-test to clear his name. That's all he has to do, they say. Pat McQuaid once again asked the Spanish federation to start a case "against" Valverde. |

wooooow. wait. that means they have blood bags which they suspect are his.....that changes things.
unless they're just doing this so he won't ride the worlds while he waits for the tests. that would be petty, but very few things are below McQuaid.

UCI don't have any blood bags - the Spanish police got them. But they, the police, have a bag which UCI suspect is Valverde's. |
