Jesus Christ Gilbert was a monster! I didn't think it would happen but that Purito vs Gilbert duel made my day!
And well done Rabo...

Hesjedal for the triple crown
Not at all. I have a strange feeling he's not focusing in the classics, and someone like Martin, Le Mevel, Stetina or Vande Velde will be the leaders.
Hesjedal probably wont get a top 5 in any of the 3 classics.
I beg your pardon?

So ahhh where was Hesjedal?

Gilbert what a race, in what a finish! He was the best rider today imho.
Lets hope he is as good in LBL
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around

Wow! Gilbert was unbeatable today. What a show from him. I started to doubt about his form when he started looking back when following RodrÃguez, but all my doubts disappeared when he closed the gap. Well done Gilbert, I'm really looking forward to FW and LBL.
Cunego was really disappointing today, losing contact on Keutenberg. I had expected more from him today.

Jelle Vanendert the man of the day! He was the little surprise that didn't let the big surprise to happen. Well done Phil!
PS: What a season for Belgium and Australia in the UWT (Meyer, Goss, Evans, Nuyens, van Summeren, GILBERT!!). Nice to see them challenging italy and spain . |

Two surprises for me -
1. It was nice to see Andy trying
2, Gerrans looks like he regained his 2009 form somehow

Really nice race in the end. I would be more happy with Andy winning, but he had no chance there. Gilbert is absolutely amazing. True winner, well deserved, well done.

I wish Andy would have skipped that attack and waited for Cauberg instead. I think he would have finished on the podium.

Agree. But i think its like that every year, the cobbles are just more interesting than the Ardennes imho.
But still was this a really boring race, normally its not THAT boring. |

That's a matter of taste I guess, some prefer the cobbles, some prefer the hills.
I'm looking forward to the Flèche on wednesday, that's always a tough one to predict. btw I just had a quick look at CQ's page and of the last 5 winners nobody will be starting!

I wonder if he decided to attack, or if he was told to in the ear speaker. |
