Watching Rojas climbing with Clentie is like a déjà vu of the age of the climbing fat asses. Well, Clentie owes a lot of his climbing superiority in G.T. (or smaller tours) to his plasticized recuperation, so that doesn't apply today.
And about the fat asses climbing, well, it's Spain, isn't it ? |

I'm glad for Chavanel, it was one of his greatest dreams to wear the nationnal champ jersey, and he really deserved to win it at least one.
I wish him a year as awesome as Voeckler had with the jersey on.
We always have great nationnal champions =D
A bit dissapointed by europcar's tactic how could they with about 20 riders let Chavanel win with only Pineau to help. No sign of Kern Charteau or Gautier, just Rolland Hurel and Le Floch in the break were there to help Thomas...
And what a promising rider is Anthony Roux! he can be an excellent sprinter and pass easily big hills.
I quite like Chavanel too, and he won it in an impressive way. He's a really deserving national champion, although a win by Voeckler or Roux would have made me happy as well.
But I disagree about us always getting a great champion. Champion was by no way the French rider of the season, rather the man of that one race, and during previous years, Brad, Cappelle, Barthe, and François Simon to some extent, weren't that deserving (I'm only recalling the years that I can remind well enough).
... Yeah that was a stupid sentence I just realized, actually only Voeckler had an outstanding year with the jersey in the last few years... xD
But you are a bit hard with Champion he did the best cycling season of his life with the jersey on, he showed it as much as he could and I remember seing him quite a lot on the 2009 TdF
Team Europcar !!
RIP Wouter

It hilly, but I dont think this scale of gaps was expected. Ive made a PCM10 race on this course, the amount of laps is different though.
Theyve done 3 laps of the longer circuit, shown in the first part of that profile - and now theyre onto 4 laps of the shorter circuit, (Done only once on that file)

Looking good for Thomas to repeat then. Although I guess he'd be the favourite anyway. |
