Great job, I'll test it tommorow. But I'm quite sure that the Cyanide version had 2 profile camera's but don't bother to much about that.

I know about the cameras, but it`s the first time I use them. They are quite useless I think. Mine is in the Arenberg section like the first in Cyanide`s version. Unfortunately I moved the start and some waypoints afterwards so it`s about 200m earlier than expected. |

Haven't you had some problems when you have 2 intersections in a short distance and you wan't to have to road between the 2 intersections cobbled that it doenst work?

Not sure what you mean. Normally you can always use the "spline" function to have normal roads between two pavement sections.
Only problem is that the crossings can`t be cobbled. That sucks. |

I mean that you can't cobble the road between two intersections if the distance of he road is to short.

Wow, this version is great, better than Cyanide's. With 100km remaining, the peloton had only 52 riders, and in the end, only 87 finished, from about 160. |

Nice to hear. Thanks for testing and commenting.
Great avatar picture
@sam: If the two crossings are very close than it`s not possible. You always need a bit space next to a crossing before starting the cobbles. But I didn`t had the problem in this version here as all the roads were long enough. |

Roturn, are you gonna work on a new MSR variant soon? |

I will. But it`s not a variant. It`s the official 2011 route. I just try to make it more sprinter friendly. In PCM your own sprinters are always struggling on the last two climbs, I will test it a bit and hope that I can do a little bit against this problem.
Another important change will be the last descent. In Cyanide`s version it`s a narrow road, the game can`t handle with. So it will definitely be a normal road in my version. Also there might be a longer 3-5 game kilometer part after the last descent. In Cyanide`s version it`s directly the sprint after the descent and with no possible positioning on the narrow road this sucks.
But except of creating the route and integrating it into the editor with possible latitude and longitude values I haven`t started yet. |

I'm having some trouble with your P-R. I tried to play it a couple of times during the race yesterday, but I never managed to get to the finish line. I always encountered the 1.8 GB RAM bug. Even at the lowest graphical settings the game crashed before the velodrome. Don't know if the same happened with the original one, as it is a long time since I played it. |

Ok, can't wait. About your P-R, i just played it. There were normal result with Cancellara winning by a small margin followed by a group of 8 riders and another one of 4. 145 riders managed to finish. |

Thanks for testing P-R.
So obviously some of you have problems and others not. I also had a crash once but no crash another test. I will have a look over it again and probably reduce or smaller some fields and especially cities.

Just updated the Paris Roubaix link in post 1.
Some changes made. The big cities are a bit smaller to avoid high RAM using. Also all fields are a bit smaller now.
Ahead of the Arenberg section I added a small village, something I forgot in V1.
During my first test I watched the Ram using lots of times and it was always between 1,5 and 1,6gb so still 200mb below the crashing zone with almost maximum details. Just lowered shadows from 2 to 1 and cities from 3 to 2.
Edit: First test result: Not as good as Freitas` result. It`s on extreme and without doing anything with Team Milram

Yes. Funny isn`t it.
With time gaps smaller than 20 it would be different. Vansummeren attacked and was just oversprinted by the Saxo guys. Hushovd and Pozzato sprinted in the next group, while Boonen was a bit too late.
So as in all classics I recommend time gaps of 7 or lower, even if it`s not important actually in one day classics but looks better afterwards.
@Cuxu: Plus the fact that it`s a single race with all riders having 89 fitness. Maybe there would be a bigger selection in career mode with some riders more than 89 and many riders less.

Doesnt that then affect how far out the riders sprint from? i.e. 1 km, 3km.

I think that depends of the terrain of the race. (Mountain stage - 1 km; flat - 3 km). |

No. At least I don`t think so. It`s just for the results. The time when the riders start the sprint is only defined in the stage if you choose classic or normal for example.
But I will test it later.
And yes I was even later
