nooby question how do you add start and finnish line plus sprints / mountain clim sprints
i add the route checkpoints in but when i check stage it says no start /finnish line
Click on Route->Sprint at the top.
On the right, make sure you're on the left most tab (looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece). The different starts/sprints/finishes you can have are listed.
Choose the one you want, click add, then go onto the 3d view and right click where you want it.

on the top bar, click route, then select sprint. On the side panel should be options to include start/finish/sprint/kom
never mind, crommy got it first.
Remember though you need 2km of route either side of the start and finish!

I've made a beginner guide in Norwegian with pictures. Maybe I will translate it one day.

The only tutorials on the Cyanide PCM forum are in French - but I did use Google Translate on a pdf file they had: https://www.mediafire.com/?awww1zgt2cl
As an internet translation, the english quality isnt great, but you should be able to get the gist of what its saying.

To create a sea do you just make a big lake? Or is there a special way...

Yep. Big lake = sea. You can change the textures of the shore though, between lake and sea.

Okay thanks (I'm doing a stage Bonifacio -> Ajaccio in Corsica) The thing is now my "sea" is done when I select one point to chose the textures the stage editor crashes... I guess it's too big

I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can get the details of climbs to show up in game (length/incline). I'm pretty much able to do anything else but when I make a mountain stage I would rather like to have the details of the climbs to show. I've seen it done in other created stages so I know it can be done, but I have no clue how to do it myself |

Question: I've created a stage and I've added it in via the editor that comes with the game... however whenever I go to play it the game crashes... what would i need to fix on this... |

Binga58:
scrap the whole bitmap idea, it's too hard to get it to align perfectly. just create the route on https://www.bikero...oaster.com , save it and import in into the editor by creating a new map with the read bounds from gpx file option, then go to top view and one the second tab make sure the activate gpx file is ticked, then load it with the button underneath. that will give you the route perfectly, but it will only give you the route you highlighted on the website, not the rivers and places where others roads branch off, you'll have to refer back to the website with the highlighted route and guess where they are, but at least you have the correct route.
it works perfectly from there, I've just made stage 5 of the circuito montagnes and it is perfect, exactly the profile the organisers put out. i'm now working on the Transfagarasan from Romania. can't wait till the dem. files for Australia are released.
another thing i'll say, when doing mountain stages, try not to copy every switchback 100% like the route, cause it makes too many points where the gradient goes to 0% and then shoots up creating a "bad route slope" problem, so just try to keep it realistic slope wise, more so than keeping the exact route. let me know if you have any more questions
