ok, well, technically wasn't the right word. probably should have went with "essentially" or "substantially"
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

They couldnt prove that other athletes shared the blood centrifuge so that means the court couldnt prove that they have been involved in blood doping from other atheltes (which would have led to criminal consequences). The final statement says there is absolutely no question that those athletes paid money for a blood centrifuge bought by Matschiner. |

The falls Jean Christophe Peraud took in the Dauphiné led him to a septicemia. He's been in the hospital since Thursday.
His participation at the French Nat.Champs and the TdF are at risk.

Even if RadioShack had been invited he wouldn't be their leader. |

Bruyneel already stated that he is not pleased with this news and that he probably will react. |

Isn't that a reaction?

What I meant was that he would contact the Vuelta organisation to complain. |

I am angry, let us in your race or I'll get the top Spanish riders banned.
That might work. |

No chance that will work. The spanish cycling federation are very good at keeping their riders unbanned save one or two mistakes

Compare and contrast Ochowicz's and The Hog's reactions.
Ochowicz says it's only natural they didn't get invited since they don't have the riders or staff to do 3 GTs this season. Their target was the Giro, and if the opportunity arose they considered doing a second GT (the Tour), but doing all 3 will have to wait until next year.
The Hog is bitching about how Guillén is somehow disrespecting the team's rights or whatever, as if the organizers weren't allowed to invite whoever the heck they feel will do the race justice.
Notice that Radioshack will be doing 1 GT while BBox for example will be doing all 3.
It's the difference between working your ass off to stifle the racing to make it boring and predictable versus working your ass off to make the race exciting and unpredictable.

Childish from Bruyneel. And quite hilarious! I suppose it's either this or the big grump that High Road (as they were then) threw when they didn't get invited..."don't want to be in your stupid race anyway"
Think it might have been Cavendish speaking on behalf of the team there, though. |
