I read on steephill.tv that Tony Martin is still suffering from a knee injury, good to see him in the top 10 on a tough stage considering the fact that he came only 65th in a TT yesterday.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

I'm not complaining - actually I am - even with Sky now in, coverage still seems to be restricted to Eurosport, then a tiny five minutes on Sky sports News - seriously, given how much Sky have put in, you would have thought they'd be shouting Sky's results out for all gthe world to see!!!
In fact, go to Skysports.com/cycling
Look at the third story under features...

Just had to bring this from the BBC website:
Spoiler Greg Henderson gives Sky first major win in Europe
Henderson was first across the line in a sprint finish
New Zealander Greg Henderson delivered Team Sky's first major victory in Europe with a gritty sprint finish in stage one of the Paris-Nice race.
The BBC article then at least mentions Flecha's win in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad - I feel a far more important victory. Then again maybe the season really does start with the Race to the sun!
earlier on today it was "Team Sky win first european race"
But i feel Paris-Nice stage win is equal to Het Nieuwsblad. But Sky will see it as more important - It's televised in Britain/Ireland and Italy, their primary audience.
Oh dear.
This is where you Anglosaxons still have soooo much to learn about cycling
A single Paris Nice stage doesn't even rate against winning Omloop het Nieuwsblad. |

for a rider, agreed.
For Sky as a sponsor, the Paris-Nice stage is more prefered. One reason, televised in target markets.

Was just wondering if anyone knew any other livestreams.
Thank though!
You're doing something very, very wrong if you managed to get a virus from it
Well, my cpu did anyway, I just clicked a link to a livestream (don't even remember which race) and got the "xp internet security" thing.
Of course, could've been the porn running in the background as well...
Good result for Bole, would've liked to see him win.
Nice quote by Henderson though :
"I did not have a team-mate to lead the sprint for me, but Sean Yates told me the Lampre kid (Bole) was fast. I stayed in his wheel and that’s it" |

Well, then I hope Sky changes quickly. If they feed the people watching their channel with nonsense about a PN stage being bigger than Omloop then the world is doomed.

I repeat, sky is much more interested in Omloop. THey are looking for new subscribers in Europe, not the UK. If sky were trying to up their subscribers in the uk through cycling they would start showing cycling, not just sponsor a team.

They have, they started with the TDU. However, you can't just wade into television rights. Eurosport has an existing contract with most of the big races - ones that would possibly interest the public, and the TDF is covered by ITV3/4 and Eurosport.
And, to be honest, Sky don't care which race is won. A win, is a win. Every win they get is an added bonus, and more attention in the public eye. I think, by far, the Tour will be the greatest aim for Sky to increase their public image.
So, no pressure eh lads?

TV ratings for Paris - Nice are much higher in Europe compared to Omloop, so how can you say Omloop is more interesting for Sky as a sponsor? |

Oh dear - again, it's being broadcasted with a delay of c. 10 minutes. Why?!
(On Danish television, that is)
