Why Ronaldo whyyyyy??? Such a miserable performance...again. I can't understand how can our wingers play so badly when they're considered the best players of the team.
Anyway Spain deserved it, we could get lucky but in the end they were the best on that field tonight. It's just a shame for Eduardo, F.Coentrão and H.Almeida who played their asses off for the team.
I just don't get why did Ricardo Costa get sent off. Did anyone see anything?
I have no replays yet, but in the after game discussion they had a look on the goal and this scene. Clearly offside and red card.
But I agree it is hard to see. It happens before they jump and the other player is about 1m behind him.
EDIT: To be honest, I watched it several times on Youtube now and I can`t see it. But all the videos start directly before the jump. On television they started earlier so I`m still sure there was a punch. The Spanish player just felt 2 sec later, so it looks like a dive.

I don't know how are the commentators in other countries, but here in Spain is impossible to watch a football game when Spain is in the field (when Spain is not is OK). The commentators just shout to the Spanish players and say many times during a match things like "Spain is superior than...". Even if they are playing worse of the other team or if the orher team scores...
I'm thinking of watching next matches on the internet in English...
That is SO true.
To make it easier to non-spaniards to understand, it is as having the ultimate Armstrong fanboy as TdF commentator. I haven't been able to watch a single match of Spain in this WC with sound.
You mean it's the same as having Ligget and Sherwen?

It's not just about football. During the spanish broadcasting of the 4th stage of this year's Vuelta a Asturias, both spanish commentators were saying that the attack by Duarte and Cano did succeed just because the spanish cyclists let them go. Later on, when Euskatel and Xacobeo started to chase, the commentators were saying that the break was doomed because the chasing group began to take things seriously. Even so, Duarte arrived 1:10 ahead of Intxausti, meaning that the chase discounted just about 10 seconds in 5 kilometers. And of course, at the end of the stage the commentators contradicted themselves saying that after all, the chasing group didn't chase.
Disclaimer: The above post reflects just the personal opinion of the author and not a fact. But if you read it, you must accept it as the ultimate truth.
Vuelta a Asturias is broadcasted by a local TV and it's the only race that they do.
The "Spanish cycling channel" is the national TV, TVE (Teledeporte). Their cycling commentators I think that are very good (Carlos De Andres/Juan Carles Garcia and Perico Delgado). De Andres and Garcia know a lot about global cycling and are quite objective, and Delgado is more subjective (and more fun) about Spanish riders but they complement each other well.
TVE is good aswell in football. But this World Cup is broadcasted by T5 (a private channel) and commentators just try to trick not football-fans about Spanish team in order to make money.
48sec in the small break you can see his ellbow.
But in my opinion yellow card would have been enough because it wasn`t on purpose. He just tried to run towards the ball. But in 89min the ref almost had to think that it was frustration.
Absolutely hate the danish commentators as well. The amount of times I've heard the name Rain Rooney. Was glad when I found out, a new commentator was on for an England match, but the guy just picks up where the other one left off. And they all know **** about football. Every "detail" is just game basics.
Only one pair of commentators (4 or 5 in all) are allright. And about 1 pundit (only god knows how many of those are around).
Two little videos :
first is sort of german football South Park, and second is Henry's interview on a French TV channel after France's fiasco, simply hilarious.
