Yeah it was a good sprint by him. He came from quite a way back and never really looked like losing it. I can only imagine what he would do if he had the same sort of lead-out train Cav has. |

Hutarovich just about beat L.S.Haedo to the win on stage 3 of the Tour of Poland, even though Haedo celebrated tentatively. Oddly, Greipel decided to breakaway on the penaultimate lap and lost a chance of victory.
Stage 3 results:
1 Yauheni Hutarovich (Blr) Française Des Jeux 2:45:04
2 Lucas Sebastian Haedo (Arg) Team Saxo Bank
3 Allan Davis (Aus) Astana
4 Tom Veelers (Ned) Skil - Shimano
5 Kenny De Haes (Bel) Omega Pharma-Lotto
6 Wouter Weylandt (Bel) Quick Step
7 Borut Bozic (Slo) Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team
8 Robert Förster (Ger) Team Milram
9 Graeme Brown (Aus) Rabobank
10 Alexander Kristoff (Nor) BMC Racing Team
Davis keeps yellow. |

Lampre's sprint
Lorenzetto almost took out his teammate Bole on the final corner just before the line, but they made it a 1-2. Could easily have been disaster, although I don't think Bole was too happy with Lorenzetto. |

I'm amazed nobody's mentioned it, since it's been a few weeks, but the Youth European championships have happened.
Traditionally these tend to be as good a guide to who's going to be a good pro rider as the worlds, so look out for these names:
First the more important U-23s
In the road race, Poland's Piotr Gawronski beat Portugal's Nélson Oliveira in the two-up sprint for the win, after they managed to beat the furiously chasing peloton to the line by a couple of seconds. Arnaud Demare won the bunch sprint for 3rd.
In the time trial, Britain's Alex Dowsett took the title with a good lead over 2nd and 3rd, France's Geoffrey Soupe and once again Nélson Oliveira.
In the juniors, Slovenia's Blaz Bogataj won the sprint ahead of France's Bryan Coquard and Portugal's Rafael Reis, while the Time Trial was won by Russia's Kirill Yatsevich narrowly ahead of France's Emilien Viennet and a long way ahead of Ukraine's Marlen Zmorka.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified
"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

Great ride by him, with a big attack on the final climb which no-one could follow. He also leads the overall now |
