That Summer Glau guy just summed up how I feel about most posters here on Daily and on the internet. Either type my language correctly, or don't bother. And if you're foreign, I look the other way until I can speak and type your language correctly.

Do you get the Summer Glau reference?
She played River Tam on Firefly, and is the subject of a lot of jokes in xkcd (and is also in the top 25 or so in Maxim's new list of hottest women).
Completely agreed though, I often make mistakes when I'm not paying attention (such as with there, their, and they're, along with the affects/effects business) but I do get annoyed when people make very simple grammatical mistakes because they didn't pay attention in English class.

No, sorry if you think I did.
I didn't understand that savoldelli said that Levi is reputed in the peloton for being a guy you don't want to be behind during a descent - horrible bike handler, lets gaps open all the time by losing the wheel of whoever he's chasing..
What I understood was that you heard comments saying that. I really don't like when people start rumors or say something based in comments, or rumors...
Even so, I think Levi canĀ“t be a really crappy bike handler, we would already had noticed that. Like in the case of gesink, or frank schleck. I have recorded in my dvd player some descents where these guys really suck...
I like savoldelli a lot, but I think, if he said exactly that (...), that he is completely wrong. Leipheimer will have very good chances of winning the TT.
If only you had started by saying that
I don't have anything against your opinion. Heck, I haven't even given my opinion so far. I took offence at the way you snapped at me

Clearly you have never experienced our (Belgian) english classes, we where forced to watched Muzzy(!). I dare you to watch Muzzy for an hour and not lose interest.
Ps. I won't be watching the next season of the "sarah connor cronicles" because the serie doesn't appeal to me whatsoever.

I don't think the big GC guys will risk much or attack all that much, so I can see anything happening.
Just not a break winning by several minutes.

I guess we'll be seeing what we've seen all season: no attacks, only riders getting dropped. In the end, we'll have a group of c. 10 riders sprinting for the win.
Hopefully, it'll turn out otherwise. E.g., some of the (good) riders who've missed out for a GC spot may attack today, e.g. Soler or Armstrong, who said before the Giro that he's going for a stage win. |

In other news, which I don't think has been mentioned, Di Luca said that they had decided to let a Rabobank rider escape and take the stage win on the Milano stage. "Unfortunately, some didn't live up to this agreement", he says.

Yeah, been mentioned. The "agreement" was between Cioni, Di Luca, Basso, Simoni and Rogers.
After one lap of the circuit, Armstrong went around the pack telling everyone "we're going slowly and letting Rabobank cross the finish first".
Now put yourself in the place of a rider on any other team. Nobody told you anything, nobody talked to you, or asked for your opinion, and suddenly midway through the race, Armstrong comes around to tell you that you're not going to race because he doesn't feel like it?
Are you going to live up to that "agreement"?
They had 5 and a half months to look at the circuit, and only came to the conclusion it was dangerous on race day? Bullshit, they wanted another rest day, that's all that was.
Even Cipollini who led countless protests back in his day said he's raced on that circuit in the rain before and there's no danger at all.

The farce continues... Why would they do that? Will that be done every time a rider crashes? Did Barloworld get the win the day after Impeys crash?

Excatly. A lot of riders has crashed this season. Horrillos was very bad, yes, but he is still alive. Where do you draw the line?
When is a crash bad enough for a team to get the win the next day? |

When a rider dies, I say. Otherwise, the show must go on.

Former Giro d'Italia champion Ivan Basso has apologised for Sunday's protest which turned the ninth stage of this year's race into a farce.

A moto driver who was going to stage 10 start in Cuneo has died, near Bra.
He was 69, and was taking part in his 33rd Giro.
RIP

From cyclingnews:
Contrary to what has been said before, Carlos Sastre has come to the 92nd Giro d'Italia to win.
Translation: Contrary to what cyclingnews exhaustively reported despite all the evidence to the contrary (...)
Di Luca himself, who hasn't raced a Grand Tour since his win at the 2007 Giro
Is it too much to ask for cyclingnews to once, just once, write an article without a sentence that is tremendously stupid or tremendously biased?
Apparently, yes, it is too much.

Since this is the giro nr. 100, it really doesnt matter if Sastre wanted to win the giro 8th years ago, cyclingnews is really good a making uninteresting news |
