Normally would I also have said bettini, but he has been a bit behind the others on the hilly finishes in this years giro. He is in quite good shape, we see that on the mountains, maybe it is the world champion shirt? who knows?

I'd love to see Bettini win too. I think a break might take it today, though |

Bettini must be a favourite today, he's in the breakaway with Bosisio, Nocentini, Cardenas, Joaquin Rodriguez, Perez , Spilak, Bennati, Visconti, Ardila Big Jens Voigt and Trusov

The breakway will definately make it then. It's between Bettini, Bennati and Voigt then.
Bennati will win if it goes to a sprint.
Voigt will try to power away on the flats.
Bettini will try to use his accelration up one of the final hills.
I'm still going for Bettini.

Bettini I think. And if he wins here, what are the odds on a third straight World title? It'll delay his retirement, if I remember correctly |

Yep and they started the day on what was the World Championships course in 1989 in Mendrisio (which is also the city of departure in Tour of Lombardy).

I'm still going for Bettini.
I wouldn't rule ut guys like Rodriquez and Visconti, also the Tinkoff boys seems to be quite strong so I wouldn't rule out Trussov out either.

Well, at least Voigt is in the break, so that gives me a chance of being right for once |
