Well, actually it's the other Spanish player who gives a little 'tick' to the ball who is arguably, Villa wasn't offline anywhere tough.
Edit: Sorry, the second pass is actually clearly offside.

They calculated that was offside for 27cm... And offside is after second backhill pass not that that you are showing us. |

Funny Fifa didn't show the blue "offside" line in the replay.
They keep being a mafia like organisation. |

Yeah, try checking the highlights of the controversial games. I guess that's how it feels to be in North Korea |

In German television there was an offside line.
After game discussion is made by an woman and Oliver Kahn
She always said boring game, offside goal, don`t forget it was offside, please never forget it was offside and otherwise it would be 0:0,
I don`t wanna know what Kahn thought but he was totally upside down to her. The game wasn`t that boring in his opinion and Offside was so minimal that you can`t blaim the ref and that`s football. I like these conversations between both of them
She asks totally stupid question, so everyone knows the answer and Kahn answers in 1 word

I wont be surprised if ..we seeing that game with 15 sec. delay..to stop the broadcast (select different camera) if needed to.

I remember Kahn. He was a maniac. Did he rip her head off?

My thoughts on the match
Even though Villa was offsides, Spain would have won. They basically didn't attack (beyond launching balls up to Llorente) for the last twenty minutes. They were the better team.
Villa was great but Llorente was also way better than Torres.
The red card looked (to me) to be deserved. The only shot I saw of it was from far away, but it seemed that Costa just threw his elbow into Capdevila's head without any sort of prior jostling.
Casillas looked very shaky early on (especially on the Ronaldo rocket that he knocked straight up in the air and almost had headed in off the deflection) |

I don't know how are the commentators in other countries, but here in Spain is impossible to watch a football game when Spain is in the field (when Spain is not is OK). The commentators just shout to the Spanish players and say many times during a match things like "Spain is superior than...". Even if they are playing worse of the other team or if the orher team scores...
I'm thinking of watching next matches on the internet in English...

It may have been a red card, but the fact Capdevila looked at the ref twice whilst rolling around on the floor to check whether he should continue rolling around on the floor was just plain wrong.
@A_Schleck - when an offside line is drawn, his left leg is offside - bit hard to tell from that picture

The Dutch commentators are the opposite.
They are very very critical. Even if we play a good match then every mistake is being criticised.
This world cup is the worst football we played since 1990 |

That is SO true.
To make it easier to non-spaniards to understand, it is as having the ultimate Armstrong fanboy as TdF commentator. I haven't been able to watch a single match of Spain in this WC with sound. |
