Well, on the one hand, the reason he left Quick-Step was because he wanted to be the #1 sprinter on the team, and Boonen isn't really a #1 sprinter anymore. |

that Radioschack drip was flop. He had bad luck of corse..injury and he was no capable to help Lance at the mountains (that what manager sayed before the tour).
Maybe he just find out that leader sprinter role is not for him.. |

It could be possible that Stauff is the #1 sprinter next year. He looked pretty good at the Vuelta and Boonen clearly isn't a sprinter anymore. So Steegmans could possibly be going back to a #2 spot although its way too early to tell who it may be.
Edit: Wow I of course forgot Chicci and Ciolek.

Especially because of Chicchi and Ciolek are transfered there, a transfer of Steegmans wouldn`t make that much sense. Then he/they would have the same problem again, just bigger. |
