Boom wins again in Britain. He was the fastest of a group of around 20 riders. Geraint Thomas apparently missed the split and drops in the GC.
Edit: Boom also won an intermediate sprint earlier.

It's nice to see really high in standings two Czech guys - Leopold Konig and Jan Barta in Britain. Hopefully NetApp will gain a wildcard for a race like Paris-Nice next year.

Boom in complete control in Britain. Seems to me like Geraint Thomas is just exhausted now, a bit like Swift is but to a lesser extent.
I managed to watch the latest two stages in the ToB in various places. The highlight has to be Haytor Rocks yesterday - so many people on the climb and a brilliant atmosphere + a crazy man in a mankini right infront of us

Geraint crashed btw, quite heavily early on, so that was the reason he missed the split.

From Tour of Britain, Eisel climbing off his bike halfway up a climb in the Tour of Britain to cheer Rasmussen and Sky lads on. Good spirit I guess

Wasn't really a skyfail yesterday - more an all round cycling fail.....
So many riders only concerned about defending their overall placing and not really interested in trying to improve it..... |

So now riders are riding conservatively to defend a 7th position in the Tour of Britain. And with no radios.
Time to quote Super Mario:
In five hundred years or more, human beings might have both sets of genitalia, male and female. I don’t want this evolution to have started already in cycling…

Caught up with the Tour of Britain now and very nasty early crash between Bibby and Thomas. Think Cav/Haussler/Suisse.
Gutted for Bibby, forced out with a broken collarbone when challenging for a Top 5 finish in GC, on one of the few opportunities for a British domestic rider to really impress the big teams. And also for Thomas, with the impact of the crash most likely the reason behind not going so well later in the stage, and missing the split.
Of those who made the split, too bad a few more of them didnt at least try to attack Boom, rather than just working to increase the gap. Sure, they have a chance of 2nd overall now, but they lost time on Boom.
And that finish really was perfect for Boom. Once again a tight turn very close to the line. Rasch went straight into the barries, the 2nd Garmin rider also had a bad turn, and next in line was Boom, easy.

Bagdonas beats Wilkinson in today's stage of the Tour of Britain - a 6 man break stayed clear.
Claude 3rd, Neirynck 4th, Handley 5th, Sybrandy 6th
Cavendish led in the peloton at 1'23. Putting him within 3 points of Lars Boom in the Points classification, with Geraint Thomas a further 2 back.
