Taaramae clearly wasn't the strongest in that group, otherwise he'd have followed Deignan's move over to the lead group and second move with Kreuziger. But he couldn't. Which makes it seem like he wasn't the strongest.
today..no way..I was talking about first mountain stage..
after first week he admited that he is empty...and I was expecting him to quit. |

Why is it so difficult for the riders to understand that there's usually a points sprint shortly before the actual stage sprint? |

I´m feeling upset, both of my favourite riders were in the breakaway...I would wish stage victory to Roman and TOP10 to Philip...shame Roman made tactical mistake...great stage though |

Ahhh, yeah, I thought he'd win that steep-climb stage. I think most riders feel empty

No clue, but you gotta admit it's a pretty bonehead call by the organizers to put KoM and points sprint just a few hundred metres from the finish line.

Danielson says on his twitter, he was coughing up fluids this morning, and has been battling virus for 6 days and finally he lost his voice. Couldn't keep going.
In doubt for worlds. |

Nice stage and a bad decision by Kreuziger, well ridden by Deignan, one thing is that your rival makes a mistake and another thing is to use that mistake in your favour to get the sage victory |

Jesus Crist... It's 3rd time Fuglsang gets on the stage-podium... A shame he can't get that stagewin... Hopefully, if he have the powers, he can do something for tomorrow...
Anyway, great win by Deignan!! |

It's a shame for Kreuiziger... Czech Republic miss the Grand Tour stage for about 10 years...
In interview he said for example, that in his plan was to attack on the cobblestones but he has no energy because they worked very hard for last kilometres... And he said that he knew that Deignan is better sprinter, somebody said to him that Deignan was doing track... |

If Gesink doesn't hold on for the podium (very likely) then we Dutch miss out on the first podium in a GT since Erik Breukink (1990?)
That's....worse |

It sure is - but it's been like that during the entire Vuelta. Get used to it. |
