No idea tbh.
I just went through the starting times for the prologue and saw that Ciolek isn't on the startlist anymore, MTN only field 7 riders.
Another change is that Bauhaus replaces Werda for Stölting and looks to show his good form in another .HC race.
Greipel, Drucker and van Poppel are probably quite a bit above the rest in terms of bunch sprint podium favourites, but there's not much of note afterwards, a space a 19 year old sprint talent would definitely love to fill (even if it's only on one stage), hoping maybe one or even two of them make a mistake.
Another very interesting new participant is Jelle Vanendert.
He just returns to racing after his surprising Ardennes resurrection, but if he's going to try, he is possibly the top favourite.

No. www.wort.lu will have a (probably exclusively German) live ticker.
The first rider to start is Bauhaus at 19:15 btw.

As 13th rider on the course
Assuming that the course is exactly the same as the last 5 years, his 4'11 would have placed him between 89th and 106th in those editions, so I hope the bad weather indicated by a picture I saw on CN is really as bad as it looks and times are considerably slower this time.
(Okay, the ticker just says it rains a lot now. Hopefully the tactical decision to have him on position 2 of 8 for Stölting pays off now and the first starters have the best conditions.)

What's all the fuss about with this rider? I dont have any clue to who he is - can he potentially ride the GC in the Tour, win classics, or? |

Long story short: yes, hopefully.
Touted the compulsory savior of German cycling as media interest mainly revolves around GT's.

Gerdemann 14 seconds slower than Herklotz, nearly at halftime already.
FYI the winner time was either 3'42 or 3'43 the last 4 years.

Final result:
van Poppel
Drucker +4
Kirsch +5
Lemoine +6
Petit +12
Herklotz +13
The sky cleared up after halftime, so I guess more or less fair conditions for those.
No majorly impressive puncheur ahead of Silvio. Van Poppel and Drucker with a shot at more bonus seconds though, hard to see Greipel@+26 playing a major GC role now with only 10 seconds for a win.

It was quite a technical prologue with a 13% cobbled climb in it. Danny's 2nd professional win with many more to follow I hope. Interesting to see wat Herklotz can do regarding the GC.
Tour de Luxembourg, Prologue: Luembourg I.T.T. (2,6 km) (2.HC)

Gosh, this live ticker...failed to inform about Petit going provisional best time yesterday amongst other strange decisions, and today's info about the sprint is literally
-Greipel won
-Kirsch was somewhere around the front
-Drucker apparently fourth
-see you tomorrow!

Engoulvent wins the prologue, but again we see many youngsters performing well.

Breschel wins the group sprint on a hilltop finish.
Tour de Luxembourg, Stage 2: Rosport - Schifflange (2.HC)
Edit: But the most important thing is that Herklotz finished 4th. Drucker takes the leader's jersey from D. van Poppel.
