Tour of Oman - Stage4

i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/1_zps0957ee48.jpg

Probably the decisive stage GC wise. Lets see that the breakaway coming home again or the GC contenders fight for the win. Will be interesting what Walker can do in the leader jersey.
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/2_zps27344222.jpg

127km to go
The slightly uphill start its a good place where some riders can attack and break away from the peloton. Namely Vuillermoz(Sojasun), De Maar(UHC), Chaves(COL), Polanc(LAM), Grmay(MTN), Zeits(AST), Damuseau(ARG). Seems a dangerous move as all of them are good uphill, maybe Chaves its more then decent.

98km to go - Sprint
None of the breakaway riders seems interested by the points, just take it in Grmay, Polanc, Zeits order. The gap growing fast, its 6'10'' . None of the GC contender teams want to chase in the peloton by now, only AJW seems to care .
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/4_zpsadd99846.jpg

60km to go
The early mentioned AJW doing a good job with chasing, the gap down to 3'55''.
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/5_zps51201833.jpg

11km to go - Sprint
At the foot of the final climb the breakaway have only 48'' from the hard chasing TNE lead peloton. Walker its in that good form?
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/6_zps2d3ff4a3.jpg

6km to go
As the percentage of the mountain rise to 10 grade the breakaway are catched and instant attack coming from Izagirre(EUS), Coppel(COF), Navarro(COF), Ghita(ARG), Stromberg(IAM), Duarte(COL), Poels(VCD), Peeters(EUC), De Gendt(VCD), Morabito(BMC), Evans(BMC), Pirazzi(BAR). So almost all of the favourites. Walker its in the front of the peloton with two helpers.
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/7_zpsd6948843.jpg

4km to go
Çoppel doing a good pace, the favourites group quickly up the gap to 1'. Poels and Pirazzi seems to struggling.
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/8_zps5d4f2b26.jpg

2km to go
The gradients are constantly on 10-11 grades, Evans doing a killing pace, more and more riders dropping.
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/9_zpsd57a8eb9.jpg

Totti(IAM) and Atapuma(COL) seems to have the strength to attack from the remains of peloton, where three Astana riders (Silin, Kessiakoff, Seeldrayers) doing the pace.
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/10_zps232718f8.jpg

The situation:
E1:Evans, Ghita, Peeters, De Gendt, Stromberg, Izagirre, Navarro, Chaves, Coppel, Duarte.
E2 + 24'':Morabito, Zeits, Polanc, Vuillermoz, Grmay
E3 + 49'':Totti
E4 + 9'': Poels, Firsanov, Pirazzi, De Maar, Atapuma
Walker have more than 2'.

1km to go
Evans leading under the banner, Navarro, Coppel, Chaves dropped. Only Totti seems faster then Evans, but he started from way behind.
i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p649/Jakab_Zoli/11_zpsfc524146.jpg

Finish
What a final kick by Peeters(EUC). He beated so easily the others. Stromberg(IAM) and Ghita(ARG) rounding up the podium. Evans(BMC), tired from the leading coming 4th, before De Gendt(VCD) and Izagirre(EUS). The others in top10 are Duarte(COL), Chaves(COL), Navarro(COF) and Coppe(COF)l.

Meh.. I hate reports that are not complete. Although now I don't care cause I don't ride here. Pfft

I actually think it's a nice feature to split up the race. The suspense goes up a lot Grin

It's been used in classics, and since this is the queen stage, I like it here as well
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

nacho63
I'm going to use it for stage 7 of Catalunya if worth it

The exports coming later, because in 5 minutes i need to go and only coming home in best case tommorrow or the worst case monday. Sorry for the delay Wink

Sorry, but im not at home from now. But i edit the team name to the riders from top 10 now. And i try to correct the spelling mistakes (its a lot i know), i needed to rush finishing the report before i leave from home.
Some info. As i remember from Navarro the gap its more then 1 minutes. Walker got a lot of minutes gap, but defended the points jersey. Peeters have the leader, the young and the mountain jersey.

Sorry again, i just wanted to make things faster Frown

Ollfardh
NO problem, thanks for the info Wink
