Sigh...everyone uses strava, and I'm here with MMF. At least there are courses now.

My first KOM today. Bike feels better after you pump the tyres up chain a clean. So much smoother.

I've just registered on Strava. Many climbs around my parents' place have their best time set by a certain Jean Marc Bideau. There was a time I could probably climb as well as him (but we were half our age). There doesn't seem to be so many famous user around my place though, I could have guessed it.
Quite interesting app, I wish I had started using it before.
I've tried it for running earlier today but it seems to have stopped on its own, maybe my phone lost the satellite signal. Bummer, as I had just changed pace significantly.
Is there any way to socialize on it ?
edit : found a group called "riders from 1983-1984 in Finistère district", with JM Bideau, P. Quéméneur, two others I knew and one I don't. *applied*

Yeah, Strava sounds cool(except for the fact that I don't cycle much )
I kinda liked this colomn about Strava, which I co-incedentally just read.

Haha that's not a problem I'll be having
I have the disadvantage of having 0% professional gear, an old bike and all that. If I would go faster than some of those guys, they'd be ridiculous I just plan to use it to compare my own personal times |

Shall we create a PCM.Daily cycling and/or running club there ? That's if we'd get Crue True's agreement. |

It is a pretty good motivational tool to be able to set certain goals and stuff. |

Rode Norway nc for juniors this week, with both rr, ttt and itt. Road race went to hell, because of flat and technical terrain, as well as heavy rain and some hail, which don't suit me good. Got 10 out of 11 laps though and finished about 45 out of 120, helping my team mate to a bronze medal.

The profile is strange, I think because the garmin f*cked up in the heavy rain.
The ttt went straight to hell. We were supposed to have 3 starters, but our third man got sick so we had to take on the whole race as 2, and that destroyed our chances. Only one team behind us...

Last was the itt. The same route as the ttt but better conditions, so the times were about the same. Ended up 19th out of 85, and I am really happy with that. Now there will be an important break before the autumn. |

Always assumed that Strava needed something more complicated to use, hadnt realised my phone would be enough
Even though I don't ride a huge amount, or particularly fast when I do, the maps/stats it gives are stuff Id be interested in!
So just signed up, and why not, here's a PCMdaily group too. https://www.strava.com/clubs/pcm-daily...aily-29549

I used to use map my ride, but when I get my new phone I think I may try Strava. It all depends upon how it affects my data allowance though, does anyone know how much it uses? |
