I don't mean to be the buzz kill here, but why are we arguing this point? I don't feel many of us have enough accurate knowledge about the situation to truly understand what is happening there. I have a very good friend who lives in Israel, and she has told me a lot about what happens there. Unless you have an inside source, or actually have been to either zone for extended period of time, I don't think you can truly grasp the debacle. Given that, acac lives there, and really, has more knowledge about this than we do, in most likelihood. Not to deny that we may know some things about it, but our perception may be skewed by the "glass dome effect". In my opinion, the only way to resolve the Gaza-Israeli issue is to wait for the civilians to tire out. The Hamas will always be an issue, but so will the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. It's unlikely they will ever truly go away. Just look at the KKK, they've been around for 120 years or something, and now just have less total influence.
Just my thoughts,

What bizarre logic. He lives on one side of the fight [the safe side] and as such is likely to have the most skewed view of the entire thing. Just being closer to the action doesn't mean you get a full view.

Being several thousand miles away doesn't give you a better understanding of the situation either. |

this may be true. but remember, this conflict doesnt come up once in a year or 2.
i hear, every day, about every rocket launched from gaza towards israel and about every air strike launched by the IDF. |

That's usually correct, unless there's some sort of conflict, which is the case. And it's very simple to explain this. You're under the influence of your media/government, who is obviously biased. |

Then why haven't I read anything from you condemning some actions of your military/government? Or do you support attacks on ambulances? And destroying whole buildings with everyone inside it, with the justification of killing hamas members? |

Whilst I am a Jew, I don't live in Israel.

That's a step forward.

I obviously do, as I did with the use of human shields before. The death tolls however, can't be compared. The use of power from Israel is completely unbalanced, pretty much like fishing with grenades. |

I maybe on that "side", but you wrongly assumed that I was in Israel and that I only had their media and government to tell me stuff, which in your eyes is lies.
So enlighten me what do your media and government say about the issue?

That's what I took from your poor, meandering, wayward phrasing.
