The last stage in this Tour de Pologne is from Muszynka to Kraczonik. 184 kilometres with 6 laps on a hilly coure, and the final climb of 9.6km at an average gradient of 4.6%. Can someone beat Schleck here?
54 kilometres
7 riders form the BOTD: Steegmans (Omega Pharma), Marycz (Saxo), Barla (Androni), Szczawinski (CCC), Szeghalmi (Lampre), Vaitkus (Qantas) and Roelandts (Lotto). They create a maximum lead of 6 minutes.
5km to go
As predicted, the 7 get caught in the first part of the final climb to Kraczonik. With 5km to go, GC-leader Andy Schleck attacks and nobody can follow him.
3km to go
With 3 kilometres remaining, Schleck has a lead of 18 seconds to a chasing group of 5, with Kreuziger, Gilbert, Astana-duo Kessiakoff & Muravyev and Jelle Vanendert.
Finish
Without pushing to the limits, Andy Schleck takes his third win in a row, also securing the GC. Philippe Gilbert follows at '12, Kreuziger gets 3rd and Vanendert 4th at '36.

Today's and overall winner
Word from the DS
This was a perfect Tour de Pologne for us. 4 stage wins, the points, KOTM and teams ranking and 1st and 4th in the GC. Amazing.... But we have to mention, that the field was pretty weak in this tougher Tour de Pologne than ever. Anyway, we're stoked with our first World Tour stage race win of the season!

Just wondering, what are the chances of both Gesink and Andy riding in the Vuelta? Andy seems to be in good shape, and Gesink will be coming into peak fitness, so I'm wondering if there is any chance of them riding together. |

@ sutty 68: thank you!
@ Neillster: 0%. Gesink will ride the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, the two Canadian WT-races and goes for the Lombardia. I don't feel like getting these 2 in one race.

Great triple by Andy + the overall win..great!
Also think Gesink should go for the classics, as I´m really looking forward to that. Good luck for that and of course in Spain with Andy. |

Next stop: The Eneco Tour, a 7 stage World Tour race in the Netherlands and Belgium. It's only the 8th edition, so a short history. Spanish José Iván Gutiérrez is the only one who won the race twice, and in the previous editions, there has never been a winner from the Netherlands or Belgium!
Last year's edition was won by Fabian Cancellara. Two wins in the prologue and the ITT brought him the win, beating Philippe Gilbert and Lars Boom.
The route
The Eneco Tour kicks off with a flat 5.7km prologue in Amersfoort. The next 2 stages are for the sprinters, with flat routes towards Sint Willebrord and Ardooie. In stage 3 we have entered Belgium.
Stage 4 to Ardenne (with lots of hills in it) and stage 5, a 14.7km ITT in Roermond, will be decisive for the GC.
The last 2 stages to Genk and Sittard-Geleen contains some hills, but probably aren't difficult enough to give some GC-changes.

The first stage of the Eneco Tour is a 5.7 kilometre long flat prologue in the suburbs of Amersfoort, in the centre of the Netherlands.
The first rider to set a time that can be good enough to win, is the Italian TT-champion Adriano Malori. He finishes in 7'23.
Niki Terpstra is 5 seconds slower. With the 8th overall time, he's the best of our team today.
New best time, set by one of the GC-favourites. Lars Boom, who was 3rd last year, rides a time of 7'19. Is it enugh for the win?
Gustav Erik Larsson comes very, very close. He is only a few tenths of a second slower than Boom, 2nd time so far.
The last rider to start is the overall winner of 2009 and because of his sprint abilities, probably the biggest favourite to win the GC. Edvald Boasson Hagen rides a strong prologue, finishing in 3rd place, also within a second of Boom.

I think this was a good start for us. Terpstra, Dekker and Posthuma within the top 20, not bad.

The first real stage is in the province of Noord-Brabant between Oosterhout and Sint Willebrord. It's 189 kilometres long and almost completely flat.
92km to go
The story of the day: a group of 10 riders form the BOTD, among them Stuart O'Grady (Qantas), Björn Leukemans (BMC) and Mirco Lorenzetto (Androni). They get a maximum lead of 6'30, but are caught with less than 10km to go.
Finish
As the form of our riders was retty weak, we decided not to form a train, but suck the wheel of another sprinter. Theo Bos manages to take the wheel of Tyler Farrar, but knows that the sprint will be tough for him, with a fitness of only 77.
The 5-stage winner of Le Tour takes the win here. Tyler Farrar beats Bernhard Eisel and Matthew Goss, while Bos finishes in a good 6th position, one place behind Edvald Boasson Hagen, whom takes over the lead in the GC.

Considering his fitness, a 6th place is a good result for Bos, against those strong sprinters.

Stage 3 from Aalter to Ardooie over 173 kilometres. We're in Belgium now, and the route includes a cobbled section of a total of about 1 full kilometre.... This should scare all the cobble-haters!
3km to go
Nothing special has happened in the stage. 3 riders formed the breakaway, dont remember the names. So it turns out in a mass sprint again. But that sprint is very, very messy. With 2km to go, Gorik Gardeyn is in the lead, followed by Gert Steegmans and the world-class sprinter Fabio Duarte..... What the heck is he doing here on a flat road, with some cobbles, sprinting for the stage win in a mass sprint??? Must be cya-logic .
Theo Bos tries to hang on to the wheel of Boasson Hagen, and is in 9th place at this moment.
Finish
And where Bos gets blocked a bit by Pozzato and Dehaes, Edvald Boasson Hagen has found a nice way to pull an impressive sprint. The 2009 Eneco Tour-winner wins the mass sprint, followed by Francisco Ventoso and Alex Rasmussen. Bos (fitness 78, daily form +5) has to settle with the 7th place.
Surprisingly, the peloton has split in two pieces, with Nick Nuyens, Bjorn Leukemans and especially prologue winner Lars Boom has the most important victims, loosing 2 minutes!

Bos probably wouldn't have taken a top 3, but we believe he could have get a better result than 7th. But you can't ride through people, so this was just bad luck.

Well, no updates tomorrow. Long day of work, and after that I'll go to a Snow Patrol-concert in Rotterdam. Looking forward to it, saw them 2 years ago with a concert in Amsterdam, that was great!
About Terpstra: hope he can hang on in the Ardennes-stage (or Dekker), and get a good result in the ITT. Think EBH is the man to beat now!

Transfer news
Two of our riders will leave the team after this year, after they refused to sign a new contract.
First Jens Keukeleire, the winner of a stage in the Tour de Wallonie. As that was, besides a Top 3 in a stage in the Tour Down Under, the only good result from him, we decided not to offer him more wage, which he requested. Keukeleire goes to Italy, as he has signed a contract with Amore & Vita.
Secondly, Wout Poels. The winner of the KOTM-jersey in the Vuelta al Pais Vasco and the Tour de Suisse, as well as the winner of the U25-rankings in Le Tour, decided to switch to a team were he could be a team's leader. Surprisingky, he choose for the Onda-team!
Note: I'll probably change this transfers after the season, as they are to strange to my opinion. I'll give you the choice, what teams they will go to?
Keukeleire: a Belgium CT-team (Landbouwkrediet), to France (AG2R) or a Dutch (M&M's).
Poels: a Dutch (Rabobank, as Mollema & Kruijswijk will leave them), an Italian (Liquigas), or something else?

Keukeleire: Landbouwkrediet, but remember that Landboukrediet doesn't have many Pro-Tour races...
Poels: Rabobank, 'cause he's dutch.
Guess who's back?
Lets see how many friens are still around...

Than Poels will go to Rabobank and Keukeleire to Landbouwkrediet (not Omega Pharma, as they already have Boonen, Ciolek, Steegmans and Farrar...).
There is something strange going on with Rabobank:
Riders out: Breschel (Monster), Langeveld (Landbouwkrediet), Tankink (M&M's), Mollema (BMC), Kruijswijk (?)
Riders in: Marko Kump and Dirk Bellemakers.....
Think they wanna get relegated in 2013!
