I just had to spend half an hour explaining to Cadel what you meant by weak riders. He's devastated, he thought he finally had a chance of winning something.
You really think he could win that?
Bloody idiot!
(Good start by Schröder. Hopefully, he can start fulfilling the goals of his team...)
I reckon Cervero could get a top 50 though. Well, maybe top 75... |

So, here's the preview for Rund um Köln. Race will come tomorrow or the day after. I gave the top favourites for the sprint, the cobbles and the hills.
Sprinters:
Marcel Kittel
The German Argos Sprinter has maximum support with him, having Tom Veelers and John Degenkolb, who is the third fastest an here himself, to lead him out. The only question is, could the hills and the cobbles in the first half of the race prove too tough for him? In this case, Degenkolb will most likely take over as leader.
André Greipel
The German Champion is on paper the fastest here, but his support is sub-optimal, relying on Lars Bak and Marcel Sieberg for a lead-out. However, at least the cobbles should prove less a problem for him.
Theo Bos
Theo Bos. 'Nuff said.
Edvald Boasson Hagen
The Norwegian all-rounder is Sky's best sprinter in the race, but might end up a helper, given that his teammate Thabo Jango Sithembile tops the other two categories (muahahaha, spoiler. ).
Gerald Ciolek
The man that might be capable of a monument win in an alternate universe is surely eager to win this race, given that it doesn't only suit his sprinting and getting over hills and cobbles, but also takes place in his own home town. He has a full team with him, but that doesn't mean too much. MTN will be quite reliant on other teams to chace the break for them, if the first have of the race is ridden hard at all.
Cobblers:
Thabo Jango Sithembile
Because he is easily the best cobbler here, i must give him, though due to him being not overly well balanced, i wouldn't expect all that much from him. Nevertheless, he is strong on the cobbles, and could possibly use them as a jumping board for a long range attack or to shredd the pack to pieces in aid of Eddy The Boss Hagen.
Lars Boom
The versatile dutchman will be hoping for either a very tough race, or that a select group goes clear on the cobbles, from which he could sprint to victory. Otherwise it's likely that he'll be used together with the likes of Mark Renshaw or Robert Wagner in a possible sprint train for Theo Bos.
Heinrich Haussler
The hopes of the IAM team will most likely lie on this man, who will hope for a selective race, though he is the sixth fastest sprinter here, so by conserving energy in the hills and on the cobbles a podium could be possible either way.
Punchers:
Thabo Jango Sithembile
As i said above, he's an unbalanced custom rider, so he most likely won't win. However, he is the best puncher here (and more balanced than the second best puncher, too ), and combined with his cobbling, he could well cause havoc.
Francesco Ronaldo
Because he has some sort of cobblephobia and runs away crying everytime he even hears about cobbles, he is guaranteed to be dropped over the first cobbled hill. His only chance might be to attack before and see if he can keep some sort of advantage. Other than that, i expect him to work for Heinrich Haussler before the cobbles start.
Rudy Verboven
Easily the most balanced of the three, Rudy will be trying to conserve as much energy as possible on the hills and the cobbles, and save it all for the last few hundred metres. He could try to attack on one of the small bumps on the finishing circuit too, but he might not be strong or experienced enough to place a well timed attack and pull it through. |

Sending Kittel & Degenkolb to a German one day race that can end in a sprint seems normal to me |

Don't you think Degenkolb is to much worth for a leadout? And even in a race that grants you such a small amount of points?
But, well, your decision.
I shouldn't complain about other people's planning otherwise I had to talk about Lotto's sprint train
(No offense at all, but why don't you keep the real life sprint train Sieberg-Roelandts-Henderson-Greipel)?

They are both being saved, according to my planning 1 race day was free so I decided to try and grab a win. |

As you may have seen by visiting my team HQ I'm planning a little race series myself (inspired by Basque Country Series), which will only include domestiques/weak riders.
All information can be found here.
I would just like to hear if you are interested.
So all of my riders? I'd be very interested

Just a little update:
As of now, all WT teams are in and from PCT:
Bardiani
Caja Rural
Colombia
RusVelo
Champion System
Europcar
Cofidis
THose above already confirmed. Of course anybody else from PCT can still enter, the only thing you need to do is simply say yes in a PM to me (just to clear that up, some people actually thought that would include work for you ).
At the moment, it looks like every team will race on its own, while the max. AVG is 70. I will post a list soon of which riders are in (best 8 guys with max. 70 from your team), so that everybody can complain about that if the wants to and I change something (eg if you want your favourite rider to race, but he is not in there).
However, until now there will be one joint team and for every team joining in more there will be another duo. Duos will be built up by me, I will take those teams that have the least riders to take there and will make some duos (e.g. Sky, OPQS and RLT should be in a duo then).

oh in that case, I don't mind that much since you were already sending a PM, still kinda wish that Jesleyh would told me.

You might now all think, I'm totally retarded, but could maybe somebody tell me how I get rid of these four bars on the right side (pace, music and so on) when racing for doing reports?
Until now I couldn't find any shortcut for that.

Roelandts and Henderson got some chances on their own, in which they were great. Greipel proved that he can do it without them (Frankfurt, exactly the same lead-out). Roelandts, Bak and Sieberg will be Greipel's lead-out men in the Tour though (and Henderson will take care of the sprints in the Vuelta)
