He might. Would probably be the best result by a Canadian all year, but I am a little surprised to see him winning. I always knew he had potential.

Jebus christ what a battle between Gilbert and Gesink on Quebec.

That was one of the most awesome races I've seen in 2011 and the first time I've actually seen Gilbert had to dig deep to win

Already posted it yesterday. There are serious problems as an Italian right-wing party is within the race organisators. So some of the left-wing obviously are protesting.

People are really stupid when they want. As Bugno said, mixing sports with politics is just a terrible idea, and those protesters should really grow up. I'd like to see a bunch of cyclists run over through a politic rally, that'd be would fun.

That said, I hope the race doesn't continue next year.

Yep, but it happens everytime. And since the race is a political event itself, it's only logical that this has happened.

Totally agree with your last sentence.

Sure, but the thing is it shouldn't be logical. Sports should be mostly about passion, while Politics should be all about reason.

Final 5K in Tour of Britain

Sky and HTC are on the front leading out for Cav and Swifty.

I'm torn, as I don't mind who wins stage 1 as long as he's British Smile

If you visit a thread named "Other races 2011" which only consists of race results, and you don't want to know the winner of a certain race, you're pretty damn stupid Wink

Voigt was sent to hospital, after a bad crash during the first stage of ToB. Hopefully he isn't badly injured.
