Kadel, you are possibly the shittest reader I have ever known. If you haven't got anything constructive to say in a discussion, just butt the fuck out.

You weren't around when that guy joined the forum, so let me show you just how pointless it is to pay him any attention. In his mind:

The problem with using Milan San Remo as an example race he could win doesn't mean he's anything special on hills. As everyone used to say, Cavendish can't climb for toffee, yet he managed to improve enough to get over and win. I certainly do think Hagen could win an even bigger race than Gent Wevelgem, and yes, MSR is well within his reach if he displays some of his Giro form early season, but as to that, and the Giro stages, showing his hill ability, I'm less inclinded to believe he'll do anything spectacularily big on very very hilly courses.

As chrica mentions, the tougher the race - weather, road surface, etc , wise, the better he seems to do.

Even if he stays at this same level for the rest of his career, no one could knock what he's done so far, and I'm certainly not about to do that. Ever.

I understand MSR isnt' a "hilly" race. It's just an example of a big race that's currently within his ability to win. While I love Cav... if people had hit hard on the final hills he wouldn't have had a shot. Boasson Hagen would still have been there.

He's an interesting rider because he's young... and he's shown a good deal of versatility. It's not hard to imagine him developing in several different ways.

You can imagine him developing more as a sprinter and maybe turning into a Thor Hushovd or Oscar Freire type rider.

You can imagine him developing more as a cobbled rider and turning into a Georgie Hincapie type rider.

You can imagine him developing more in time trialing and a bit more climbing and turning into a Jens Voigt type rider. (the classic "strong man"Wink

Honestly, you can probably name about 30-40 well known riders and say "yeah, I can imagine Edvald turning into that kind of rider". We won't know until it's done, but watching him will be fun over the next 5 years or so.

look man you replied after rjc's post and you obviously were refering to rjc's argument don't embarass yourself

I actually referred to earlier pieces where his win's always were ascribed to other factors than the cyclist himself, but it doesnt matter. Rjc has a similar attitude.

rjc_43
To be honest, what you wrote continued on from my post pretty darn well.

And please tell me what my attitude is. I'd love to know how saying Boasson Hagen is a great cyclist NOW, somehow means I'm slagging him off.

if there were another Jens, then Jens wouldn't be one of a kind.

yesyes and you can keep telling us how he is not really good and he can keep winning. Doesn't matter.

Whatever you say it's pretty clearly that you are referring to the post that is right above your post, so come on, why not just admit that and say it was a very bad post, at a very bad time, that clearly misjudged rjc's opinion of the case (Boasson Hagen)?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that I'm supposed to be "yesyes", even though "isso" has nothing whatsoever to do with "yes"

Matthew Busche was 5th. Have ridden with him quite a bit before, he went to the college I am going to. Awesome guy!!! A late bloomer because of Cross-Country career in college. But after Utah and now this, he could be a great stage racer !
