but still vandenbroeck is far better then van huffel
btw verbrugghe managed to get a top 10 place in the giro a couple of years ago I never believe Vandenbroeck will be a top GC guy. If you watch his results over the last few years, this is really the only impressive results so far. Moreover, given the evolution of this Giro, and the top field which was not so top after all (still italians and grandpa Simoni ruling, grandpa cardenas in top 15), I don't think he'll have a better career then, let's say, Rik Verbrugghe, who was 9th a few years ago.
The Giro and the Vuelta are not the Tour. Just riding top 10/or just oustide (like Monfort, Devolder in Vuelta and earlier Van Huffel/Brandt i nthe Giro) in these tours doesn't mean much. I won't be convinced of Vandenbroeck until he finally wins a 1-week tour or rides a good Tour de France
well could be, but then dekker falls under that category too he?
the main thing we didn't see much of him yet, is because he's very young;
He came directly into the prof without the beloftes ( whats that in english : de category before profs?) unlike dekker. VandenBroeck had some huge adaption problems the past 2 years.
btw he can still grow , remember a year before armstrong won the tour, he was 4th in the vuelta . off course you can't say he gonna be a GC-ride because of one tour, but neither can you say he will never be. the future is a mystery , god knows what it has in store for us.

This isnt fear...van de Broeck has always been ok climber. Now young man having he's best race on he's career. It's good to wach..if he keep same pace at the last week..I will aplause for him. Grandpa Simoni..maybe but still he is on the moment one of the best when climb % go's over 15 |

to you people that are laughing at that notion, be warned that if by some chance someone here decides to note down your scorn, a few years from now, there's a very real chance you'll be scorned.
Get this through your heads: there are riders right now that you think aren't very good at all, who probably aren't even young at all, that will be winning three-week tours years down the road.
When Simoni was 28 he was selling bycicles in a shop because no one would sign him. He's won two giros (would've been three if not for politics) and stages in the most important races in the world, since.
I can name a bucketload of riders of the past ten years who went on to be huge and who when they were 25, you'd laugh at the notion of them ever doing what they went on to do.
So think again, before scoffing riders who are much younger than 25

now you talking..
this is every sport..I hate those 16 year olds..brazilian football talents..I like matured players. same in NFL you will be perfect WR just before you will turn 30.
Jan was to young when he won the tour..Becker to young and Wimbledon..life time pressure...athlets isnt ready for that. I prefer natural growth. |

Wattage calculations for the top riders of this Giro gave powers around 410-420 W on the last climbs (the one to take into consideration for such calculations).
That's still above human range, but not by much.
Basso would be leader of the Giro with probably a 15 minutes lead, had he been there with his 2006 legs. |

Only the Marmolada climb falls into that category, since Corones wasn't the final climb of an etape, and Pampeago is only 8km long Sella went at 390 watt up Marmolada and if he's 60kg, that's below 6.1 w/kg |

Sella is 53kg
and according to Aquarius, those 390watts are adjusted for 70kg (plus an 8kg bike)

you can take anti-allergy pills; or you can go testing on what you're allergic. that might help

hay fever is an allergy to pollen. that's why it's better when it rains: the pollen isn't floating around |
