yes, that was my point, that because it's flat, he might have a chance.
but it's very unpredictable. if you do the TT and then the next day do it again in the exact same conditions, some riders will do much better, some much worse.
"form of the day" is a reality. and in a TT, the difference between a slightly good day and a slightly bad day is huge |

hope Menchov will have the strength to contend for the Vuelta. not that I like him or anything, but he deserves it. |

I can tottaly sympathise with Menchov, he had a great chance of getting in the top 3 of this years TDF then rasmussen puts in a great performance and the tactics change. I also heard that aswell as boogerd being very upset that Niermann was also very upset (not that the whole team wasnt). At the start of the stage he had an interview where he was on the verge of crying.

Pre race interviews were very interesting Rabobank obviously shocked but listening to Niermann sounds like some of the riders didnt want to continue.
Contador in white? is he nervous about claiming to be the best, he was looking very edgy while Cancellara was saying there were still dopers in the tour |

it's so weird to see the time gap next to a symbol of a white jersey instead of a yellow one |

I think the whole layout of the 'league' needs to be redone and instead of being 'divided' the UCI and ASO need to work more closer together and stop argueing. The majority of the work cannot be done until that happens.

that's a big part of the problem. the UCI put in the ProTour. which raised the level of cycling significantly. it has problems that need to be ironed out, like any new idea.
ASO, however, feel they should be in charge. it's as if the english football association decided "screw fifa and the world cup. WE want to be in charge".
so they've been trying to sabotage the ProTour from the start.
that's the reason they made up those stupid excuses about Unibet "not being allowed to ride by law" and all that crap. |

Question is..that ASO feel's a little ambarased about ..destroing Unibet in act of war with UCI. They gladly invited Astana..and rest we all now. I dont belive ASO big words about fight against doping...ASO crusaide is more like for show busines and power |

dont like officals saying tht this is good for the sport as it shows the cheats are being caught and they are winning the war on drugs. this just shows that cyclist are still pushing the boundries and often get past the testing system |

I think what is really promising is the mentality in the peloton.
when Moreni tested positive, several cyclists wanted either to hit him or to "have a word with him". that's good. shows the mentality is far different.
it used to be "poor guy. leave him alone" |

so...tomorrow Contador will wear yellow. Soler will wear red and white.
so third in the under-25 classification will wear white.
a little bonus for Euskaltel |
