A crap-tacular start to my internship this semester... One week in and I'm a nervous wreck. I've been constipated for days!
Gah! Stay young, kids. Growing up doesn't get any better.
If a strange man comes and askes you if you want to go with him and stay young forever, climb into his van and go with him!

For an internship ? Dear me, it's just work, or not even work.
What do you work as ? |

I have one (aquariusjm29), but if your purpose is playing PCM don't count on me, I barely have time to play videogames this days, and I haven't bought and played PCM since Summer 2007. |

It's a tad bit more complicated. Thanks to some incorrect information I'm now stuck with an intership at a place that has no connection to my education at all. I have looked left, right and centre, but there is not a hint of relevance to be found. This wouldn't be so bad if it hadn't been for the fact that we have to wright a 30-page paper showing the relevance between different theories and our workplace.
It's hard to explain, but it's comparable to an airline pilot ending up working as a cashier to gain experience.

You should probably warn and tell your referent teacher about it.
It was a bit the same for my first internship (in much lesser proportions it seems), but that didn't worry my teacher, and it ended up quite well. |

Believe me, I will. I have a meeting scheduled with him tomorrow where I'll bleed my heart out. I will also see if there's any chance for me to take normal classes instead.

Oh, i remember my intership as the best time ever. It took half a year and i was there three times in total: to say hello, to borrow the material for my graduation work (financial analysis of the company) and finally to say goodbye and return the materials.
Half a year of vacation.

Well, I have had a chat with teacher at the university and I've decided to quit my internship, instead I will attend normal classes.
I was lucky enough to find three different classes that are relevant to my education and interests. Since I get the same amount of credit it's a much better choice for me.
I am NOT looking forward to the conversation I'm gonna have at the office tomorrow with my (former) "boss". Even though I only stayed there for a week, they did put alot of effort into making me feel welcome.
This is a huge relief for me and my bowels are finally back to normal.

Just got a new pair of running shoes! I've (finally) worn out my Kayanos and got me a pair of Pumas Faas 300. They're a bit more minimalistic than my other pair, Adidas Aegis, so I'm excited about trying them out.
Oh happy days! I just sit and stare at them; I love them and they love me!

Maybe you should run them instead of staring at them. Just saying.
Were your Aegis the black and gold one ? I have them (and will run them tonight).
How did your meeting with your former boss turn out, btw ?

Run on them?! Are you mad?! They are so pretty I almost don't wanna wear them. No, my Aegis are white and orange. Great shoes. They are appearantly very close to the Boston-model, but I haven't tried it. I only used them as a transition-shoe since I'm working my way down towards more minimalistic shoes.
It ended with me quitting my internship and going back to taking normal classes. I will be taking 3 classes which gives me 10 credits each; "Political analysis", "International Politics" and "Democratic decision making".
Not the most exiting of studies, but it's a tad bit more relevant than the intership. Besides, I'll be done with my last exam on December 3rd.
