Feel sorry for you yesterday Alakagom Villa where good the first half against Liverpool but direct in the 2nd Liverpool showed something better and managed the 3pts.
Typical Villa performance. Good in 1st half. Bottled it in 2nd. Overall you deserved to win. It's annoying though that the same pattern of doing well in first half and shambles in 2nd is continuing. Something needs to be done there.
And Liverpool is not far away from finally competing with best.
Aha I see, hope you will managed to stay in Premier League.
Benteke can make it
Yes, I´m really satisfied with how great Coutinho have started, much smarter and with awesome passing skills then I thought.
But Suarez needs to stay at Liverpool and one new great back and we can do great next season, that same old "next season" |

What do you guys think of Paolo Di Canio as new manager of Sunderland? After all, he's a guy who called himself a fascist and used the Hitler salute as a goal celebration. Is it possible to seperate sports and politics, and is desirable to do so?

This is hard to say, i am not even sure what i should think about it. I dislike his personality and his acting, but i am not sure this should stop him from training some team.
It is a long time since that happened and if he is not doing this things again, or try to spread his "philosophy", i think let him train. But of course if he wants the job in UK, the society and media there are very sensible to these things, he and the team will have a hard time for sure.
What is strange is, like media (and you too here Cunego) are mixing the historic facts together. They call him racist and nacist, or calling that Nazi Hitler salute. As he said, he is a fascist and this salute is facist salute, coming from Roman empire times, he also has the word Duce tattooed on his body.
I know this is not much a difference for majority, but it is big difference in fact, especially regarding racism.

I wish the worse to Sunderland as long as he's their manager. Fucking scum.
I remember Celta de Vigo was about to appoint Salva Ballesta (a fascist like Di Canio) as assistant for their new coach, but their fans had some dignity, and their pressure avoided it.

I know that and I was thinking about writing that it's actually the roman salute. The problem is that this is not what it represents for most people nowadays anymore. Same with the swastika. You can't paint a Hakenkreuz on a wall and then say that it is a hinduistic symbol. Even if that is what it is to you, it's still incredibly offensive to many other people. Plus, I think it's not a big step from being a fascist or nationalist to being a racist (depending on the radicality, of course).

You should not judge a coach for his political belief, but rather judge him by his coaching ability. It's also weird to see people so upset whit his salute. He's not a nazi, but a fascist with the roman salute.
I agree with Avin. |

I don't give a flying fuck. He's a fascist, and a Mussolini apologist, that's enough for me to wish him the worse. Period.

Just to be clear, being a facist is not something which i would approve, i was just pointing it out, that media are mixing facts in their hystery.
You are right Cunego, that it is associated with worst things in human history and should be not used in any mean. But hard to tell if this should be associated with his coaching profession, if i should be objective.

From what i have seen on the Sports Channels, most of the Sunderland fans don't want him there, but they will soon change there minds if he proves to be a success on the field |

I'm not sure how fascismo is supposed to jive with modern efforts to stamp out racism and xenophobia. Fascism is, by definition, ultra nationalism.

I think the FOOTBALL coach can afford to not give a shit about some modern efforts. This is football, not some political stage...
I seriously hope Di Canio will never pinch someones ass, that would cost him life for sure.

Yeah, I guess that's more or less true. However, it's been Di Canio himself who has done all the effort to let the world know he's a fascist, even if he now doesn't want to talk about it, so he better face the consequences.

You, and others defending him, are the ones making a big deal out of that. I, and others who criticized him, only said it was disrespectful, not that he should hang from a tree.
(I don't want to hijack the thread with this, just wanted to finally make this point).

A beautiful win for Villa. Very important one away at Stoke.
And seems Lowton scored a contender for a goal of the season so far.
EDIT: Found it. Definite beauty.

Looking good for Villa. I'm hoping to get a ticket for the final day away at Wigan, could be a huge day... |

The official Liverpool site will deliver to the "Rest of the World". I've just had a look and shirt is £15 (Mens shirt) and Rest of the World delivery is £15. This just seems a safer option than a 3rd party website. |

Totally pissed off with the QPR supporters today, just because they lost they decided to have a fight with anyone whilst going back to there coaches, even whilst women and children were out shopping, nothing but Scum |

So, just to sum up the day;
- QPR fan stabs someone with a knife
- Millwalls fans starting a brawl
- Arsenal fan throws a bottle, injuring a girl, then running away.
Aaah, the beautiful game.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Nothing new to see Milwall starting a brawl.
Great point against Southampton today. Lads defended brilliantly. |
