Judging by his results so far, I'd consider Planckaert a pure sprinter. |

Several of his top results have been slightly uphill sprints if I recall.

Another great signings by MTN-Qhubeka!
Teklehaimanot ( 1st Prueba Villafranca - Ordiziako Klasika ) from Orica and Kudus ( 17thTour de l'Ain at age of 19 )
Kudus is the most excting of the two, first true African GT contender for the future. Daniel is the most experienced of the two and adds depth into the team.
The team is complete, they retained all their riders as well as adding those two and Gerdemann.

I guess they make up for Gerdemann.
No, seriously, you can't get better Eritreans. Berhane and that guy with the impressive WC breakaway showing would be great additions as well.
Add Meintjes and Sbaragli, and they look good on any terrain for the future.

Meintjes definitly has some great potential! Not a lot of body but looks like he can be a beast climbing in a few years! |

Good move, I think. He should be their leader in the next season and he will likely earn a pro contract in OPQS for 2015.
Entirely not surprised, if he keeps on going like this, he shall earn a spot with the other Czech guy whose name I can't spell that rode for them this season.
Vakoč? Not much hard to spell, just leave that mark upon c out, like all the foreigners do.
Do you know what kind of rider Vakoc is? As an OPQS fan, I would really like to know it
Mostly good punchy rider with a great kick as Alakagom said. This year he was really impressive with his progress and I think he is capable of doing at least decent results in punchy classics. But still - I am mad at Lefevre, that he had left Senechal to go...
The Czech version of Gianni Meersman?
And what about the other one, Alaphilippe? |

No, no he's not that good in sprint. If I had him compare to someone from OPQS, it's Štybar in hilly terrain.
Alaphilippe is much more Meersman vol. 2.
Die hard fan of Tom Boonen and Quickstep since 2004.

Roubaix-Lille Metropole announce some new signgings. The most recent is Baptiste Planckaert, who is a bit of a puncheur with a strong finishing kick and will be a great signing for them. Other names include:
Timothy Dupont - another similar rider but perhaps not quite as good.
Romain Pillon
Jimmy Turgis
Ruby Barbier
I don't know much about these last three.
Talk about who the hell Rudy Barbier is

Sagan might prolong his contract then worth 4m a year with Tinkoff's arrival.

Riders to MTN-Qhubeka for 2014:
Linus Gerdeman
Daniel Teklehaimanot
Merhawi Kudus
Strong additions with Linus and Daniel. Should bolster up their squad for a hope to ride the Giro next year. Merhawi is also a huge talent. He's only 19 or 20 and finished 15th in the U23 WC. Also some other very good results while riding as a stagiare for Bretagne. Check out his PCS profile.

Still less than Contador but worth so much more. Does this make Sagan about 4.-6. in top salaries?

Really interesting transfers by MTN. Teklehaimanot should help most of the young Africans, especially Kudus. Hopefuly they can ride the Giro. |

Forgot to answer, but yeah, guys described him perfectly. I can see him as the future fighter/puncher type. And Senechal was real fail.

Nice. He would maybe deserve a bit more, in comparsion to some other riders, but he loves Cannondale, so no need to look elsewhere.

Compared to who?
When Nibali extended his contract with Astana this summer, it was reported that he would get close to four million Euro a year the next three seasons. Can't say Sagan is worth much more than Nibali...
It's just a shame that money has given Tinkov a ride with Cannondale. The Italian team and the World Tour would be much better without him, I think.

Im obviously a bit unhappy with Belkin getting rid of LLS. According to Velkins policies if they were saxobank/saxo-tinkoff contador would be in another team. Hes a gret rider for winning smaller tours and stages of bigger tours and at times he was stronger than any other Belkin rider other than Gesink. Although Belkin looks like they may do alright this season with Gesink and Mollema and Ten Dam who se to be getting better and better. Belkin need a sprinter i believe, other tham Renshaw.
