Good sprint by Ryder. Timing was perfect, he absolutely caught Hincapie. |

That was actually a good stage.
Nice one by Ryder, timed that sprint well.
Now, if only the ATOC organisers did a similar stage for the other 7.

There was a horrible accident at the 2nd stage of the FBD Insurance RAS the peloton had to take a corner which you can't see into (sorry for my poor english.. don't know how I should name it), a SUV rode from the side into the front of the peloton 4 Burgos and 2 Nippon riders were hit after the incident the rest of the stage was neutralised
And to the Tour of California: they set the time limit to 7% because the stage was just 135km long, so everyone with more then 30 seconds (like Niermann or Martens) were outside the limit

Thankfully no rider has a life-threatening injury. 2 riders have a broken leg. One of them lost his fingertips but probably it is possible to sew them on again.

Some crash. I know this is the British Isles, but did the race organizers send any people out in advance to make sure such a thing didn't happen?

Rolling road closures, so police bikes out in front - the gap was obviously big enough between the police bikes and the peloton for this to happen though

Finally saw the last stage of ToC. That was definately the best way it could have finished. Ryder did great to win the sprint. For a second I thought he'd gone too early but then he just extended the gap. Levi tried everything to get a gap on Rogers and Zabriskie. I just hope Levi wasn'y 100% on form because if you look at the climbing taleent of the 3 Levi is much better. Anyway good move to have the race in May it definately turned out well.

Just saw the final seconds of the second stage in Bayern Rundfahrt. Looked like Koldo Fernandez was knocked over by a spectator. Couldn't find it on youtube, so I couldnt check it up. Not the biggest race going on at the moment, but it still looked very very nasty.

Good.
Although it really looked like someone who hung over the fence hit him on the head. |

In the video there at around 1:00-1:10 there is the crash:
https://www.youtub...NlRInv2XPs
He gets that wave and cant avoid to go over the feet of the fence.
Those feet of the barriers were placed quite dangerous if you ask me. |
