Cavendish said Van Hummel hit him in the sprint preparation, but what turns out to be the story:
Rooijakkers (not Van Hummel) was pushed by Mondory and landed up in the Cavendish train. Cavendish wasn't happy with the Skil rider there and tried to throw Rooijakkers of his bike. Rooijakkers ofcourse defended himself and hit Cavendish.
Cavendish is such an asshole at times. But then again, it seems almost all sprinters are. Only Cipollini and Petacchi were real gentleman sprinters
Of course if its a Dutchman's argument against a Brits argument, the Brit is an asshole according to you
I didnt see the particular incident, so Ill take a look at the replay again before leaping to a conclusion. As if this is the first time Cavendish has been an asshole or been arrogant?
I respect Cavendish for being an unbelievable sprinter (the best ever probably), but apart from that I never liked him. Has nothing to do with being dutch or not. This is not the first incident around Cavendish either. |

It was Mark Renshaw who got tangled up with the Skill shimano rider. |

Brett Lancaster has stated that he wants to talk with Napilitano about the Italians behaviour in the peleton... He says that Napilitano was pushing riders and making sudden movements on his bike, and that he was the one that caused Koldo Fernandez to crash.
He says that that kind of behaviour isn't apropriate when riding the Tour |

He caused because he didn't see the turn and continued straight ahead causing all to left of him to either crash, stop or continue out of the driveway.

Yeah, I forgot to write that...
EDIT: Hushovd is also pissed... He says that the sprint was ruined because he had to hit the brakes because of the crash
Thats what you get for not sitting in the front and control the sprint like Columbia

Yeah, you had to be right at the front, but lets not forget that it really was an unfortunate accident.

As doddy said, the riders who where pissed should have been at the front, setting the pace for the sprint, but it still was a weird accident. |

The worst is that Napilitano actually had about 20 riders in front of him and he should easily seen that they turned right...

Are you sure? The commentators said that it was Cavendish. |

Cavendish said something on Renshaw's twitter, hence the confusion.
But I'm not likeable to believe Cavendish story after his earlier mishap in the Giro, when they mistreated Soler, almost criminal what he and his Columbia gang did there after the stage (threatening Soler, throwing his bike on the ground and pushing him, just because he dared to ride in front with 10k to go...) |

What ive heard about it, it was, apperently a rider from Columbia pushd Soler which caused a major crash which involved Cavendish. After the race Cavendish did what ruben described ...

It was all over the Colombian news. But they never punished Cavendish for it since the only withnesses were the public...
