uhh....no.
Well, with current shape he is He won the TT in California (very good field), and he won it too in Castilla y Leon. Who is better right now then? Zabriskie? Cancellara? Grabsch? Anyone else? Nah, don't think so...in that case please come up with someone better?

Your idol.
Nope, Contador is definitely not my idol. Never been, as I have never liked the teams he is riding for. Well, as the same as Leipheimer, who is a better climber than Contador right now? Honestly? Sure, he had a bad day in P-N, but it wasn't uphill he lost that race.
Stage racer can be discussed of course, but that's my opinion. Leipheimer would be a good contender though. I look at it in a realistic view |

It's good to see that Cyclingnews don't have another stupid headline for stage 3. For stage 2 it was "Little rider achieves a big victory." How patronising is that? |

It's because Trofimov said "I'm not fighting for the overall, I'm just a little rider" |

I know, but I still think they could have found a more appropriate headline. |

Haha, ok my bad
Well, Basso is probably still one of the best stage racers. But, I think he isn't as good in TT yet as he was back in 2006 (for known reasons)...His climbing seems to be really good still though. Well, maybe he is better than Contador in total, but I'm not sure. The Giro will most likely give as un answer on that |

Hmm Gesink 6th after a 4km climb, that was a slight suprise. I thought he lacked explosivity for this kind of thing. But he blew up later than F.Schleck |

cyclingnews "The morning's leader Luis Leon Sanchez (Caisse d'Epargne), winner of Paris-Roubaix at Contador's expense, had been tied on time with Contador but conceded the leader's jersey thanks to the Astana rider's solo escape."
And how great is int Fredrik Kessiakoff with his 8th place. He can be the new KoM winner of the Giro if Fuji-Servetto get a place there. |

My "always bet on Samu in this becuase he's gonna win at somepoint" strategy isn't going to well

Can I point out that Jakob Fuglsang was the best Saxo Bank rider today? Better than A. Schleck and F. Schleck. He'll be great once we reach the Giro! |

I don't think he lacks explosivity, last year he was 4th in La Flèche Wallonne in the same time as 3rd Cunego... |

Rein Taaramäe gained another 3 mountain points today, now 6 points behind Aitor Hernández. Still a lot of points on offer for the next two stages so lets hope Rein gets the KoM jersey.

Fleche Wallone has nothing to do with explosivity, or better said, the Muur de Huy doesn't have anything to do with explosivity. |
