Di Luca almost win the Giro today. Best chanches to beat him has now Mazzoleni..to stage 17 and last TT.
Di Luca fool me big time I never expected such a strong ride for him 3 weeks straight. |

Today was a big day. Di Luca showed is strength and also an amazing sense of 'tactics'. Despite the scape of Eddy. He was able to pressure Savo in the second big mountain, so that he can't help Eddy earlier in the long downhills, and i think the most important in the finish when he surprised Gibo, that was in the back, after an attack by Cunego. I think it's time to say the 'Killer' can fly in the mountains.
I saw that scene, too!!, with Piepoli.
P.S.: Come on Gibo, u can do it: |

Hmm... well at this point it looks as if Di Luca has won the Giro. Hopefully he will completly blow up on Mont Zoncolan. Does anyone know SImoni's vs. Di Luc'as TT skills? I think if CUnego can gain back some time in the remaining mountains he is a decent time trialist. I hope Simoni pulls off the upset though, and go Schleck! |

trust me, you won't like the answer
I really don't think Di Luca is stronger this year. I honestly believe it's Simoni that is weaker. Di luca seems to be back to his 2005 form.
the difference to last year is actually probably not physical, but mental.
last year he gambled all on the Giro. that's too much pressure.
this year he came into it knowing that no matter how bad he did, his season would already be a success as he had already won Liége.
that's an enormous weight off his shoulders...
Either he seriously blows on the Zoncolan, or it's game over.
It's possible he will, especially since this year they're climbing the never-before-used harder slope of the Zoncolan, not the one they used previously. It's actually supposed to be the hardest slope in Italy after the Scanuppia...
but seriously, I doubt he'll crack...especially with the stage being so short. |

Same here.. Di Luca surprised me totaly after last year. And 17 stage is Simoni's last 5% chanche to win the tour. In TT I belive Di Luca is better. Like I sayd Mazzoleni have best chanches against Di Luca.

Funny thing is that I'm having the exact same young rider fight in my game. I'm at the Vuelta, 2009, and Andy Schleck is my man for the young rider classification with Ricco as his only true opponent. |

amazing Andy. I really hope he dont mess with bad doctors etc. Hugh talent..new big tours star.
Ricco is more like "shotgun" rider..and I think he should need change he's attitude..he allready after succesive few months act like a sniffy star. |

Frank Schleck, I guess that is?
F. Schleck wasn't anywhere good enough to win the Tour in 2008, so I decided to spare him for the Vuelta which he ended up winning.
A. Schleck is trained for the hilly classics, so he will probably never be able to win a GT. |

Well I have a Marc Schleck in my Eurosport team, come 2008/9 he may have a chance of winning a GT. |
