An austrian cyclist, 32, to be left anonymous but described as "one of austria's top cyclists" has been arrested accused of trafficking doping products.
*Everyone runs off to see if Glomser's 32 and if not, who else is*

There's only two currently active Austrians born in 1976:
Siegfried Bauer
Christoph Kerschbaum |

The team of the rider is a austrian top team
I think it haven´t to be Vorarlberg
I think more like RC ARBO Gourmetfein
So Kerschbaum could be it but he haven´t to

Kerschbaum isn't really a top rider, though |

Yes but it is a "austrian top class rider" so....
It could be also a rider which is successful in austrian races but not international known because he is a austrian top rider and not an international top rider of Austria I think
Also they said it´s a local austrian club in the borough of "Oberösterreich" and the cycling club RC Arbö Gourmetfein which also negociated with Jaksche a time ago is located in Wels a town in the borough of "Oberösterreich"
And I´ve found after your response the website and I´ve found a press release
Because of today's press reports about the arrest of a professional cyclist, the Board of the Association ARBÖ RC Wels Gourmetfein following statement :
The arrested person is in all likelihood by Christof Kerschbaum, who is since 2007 contracted. Since the days of trying, and his leadership team sports comrades connection to him, even in yesterday, Thursday, held press conference he stayed away unexcused.
Now we all know the reason. The association's leadership notes that we are now working with Christof Kerschbaum quit. We owe the young people and their parents, the sponsors and supporters of the club and the many volunteers guilty.
Of course, applies to a conviction the presumption of innocence. Specifically, we advocate the application of the laws regarding drugs trafficking and use.
For the entire RC ARBÖ catfish Gourmetfein
Wilfried Luger / Coordinator
Thank Google for this one
And another news :
The "sport school Cologne" made a test to find out if someone is using gene-doping
They are informing soon the WADA and the NADA about the test
EDIT :
Catfish is because the club is officially named :
"RC ARBÖ Wels Gourmetfein"
Wels is the town but also a catfish XD

If that's true and the test is reliable, then this is by a huge margin the biggest development in the history of the fight against doping....
If even gene doping can be detected.....then sooner or later anything can be.

New interview with Alexandre Vinokourov, it's in french so I understand very little, but it seems the vuelta will be his big comeback race. Also interesting to see that he still trains with former Astana teammate Maxim Iglinsky.

The moment he officially says he's coming back, the UCI will
A. Slap him with another year of suspension
B. "Remind" him that he must register with WADA for doping controls at least 6 months before being allowed to race...which he hasn't by now....so no Vuelta for him

If B, Vino can bring the case for CAS who'll say: "Well, UCI allowed dispensation for Armstrong for no good reason, so Vino doesn't have to either". |

Nope, at most they can put UCI under the grill for giving out exceptions.
They can't really say "oh, they let the other guy get away with murder, did they? well, then anyone can kill anyone legally"

issoisso, how do you know he hasn't applied yet, and good point CrueTrue.
And even if he got another year suspension, that would be finished before the Vuelta. Remember that his earlier suspension finished before the olympics last year |

If he had, it would be all over the news, like when Alcalá and Bartoli applied.
