The UCI said to the DPA (German Press Agency) that there are 2 new cases of doping but the speaker Enrico Carpani wouldn´t like to name the cases

Also interesting an interview with Sebastian Lang with a newspaper (Thüringer Allgemeine , SL is Seb. Lang and TA the paper) :

TA : Are you surprised because of the positive test from Schumacher?

SL : We were worried during the Tour

TA: Why?

SL : AS it was known that there is a new test for CERA , we were happy.
We sat in the bus and we cheered.
The whole team, but not Stefan.
He was suddently quiet and reclusive to the end.

TA: Was he elsewise conspicious?

SL: No. He was suddently very quiet. Very weird. Hereupon we sat with the other riders and we (also the team administration) debate whether and asked him if we should worry.

TA: . . . because your Team would´ve left the tour immediatly and Gerolsteiner would´ve drop the sponsorship?

SL : Yes , because uur economical existence depends on clean cycling.
He has lied to us and he said it´s alright.

TA: Are you happy that he has been caught?

SL : Of course.
Cheater have to be caught and busted. Everyone. Even when it´s a hard hit for cycling.

The vice president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has suggested that cycling events should be removed from future Olympic Games due to the sport's on-going doping problems.

Upon hearing the news that Stefan Schumacher and Leonardo Piepoli have both tested positive for banned blood booster EPO at the 2008 Tour de France, Thomas Bach told the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine that the drastic action would cause the professional cycling community to sit up and think.

"This is dramatic because it shows that cycling is far away from achieving a change of consciousness," Bach said. "We have to ask ourselves whether it is not the time to order a pause for thought."

The next Olympic Games will be held in London, and if cycling events are dropped it means that Britain's team will be unable to defend their haul of gold medals won in Beijing this summer.

German rider Schumacher and Italian Piepoli both had Tour samples that tested positive for CERA, the 'third generation' of EPO. The riders were only caught when their stored blood samples were retrospectively analysed. Piepoli's former team-mate Riccardo Ricco tested positive for the drug during the event. All three riders won stages in the race.

The news of Schumacher's positive has hit the German media hard. Earlier today, German national TV station ARD announced that it is currently reviewing whether it wants to broadcast further editions of the Tour de France. ARD previously ceased live coverage part way through the 2007 Tour due to Patrik Sinkewitz's positive for testosterone.

Absolutely ridiculous. I wonder how many other sports in this years Olympics were rife with drug use?!?!

Please Bach , he isn´t Rogge , he is german , so long Rogge says nothing against cycling Bach is just a poodle

Also Bach should quit the vice president thing , he does it honorary so in Germany you can pay less taxes (I think) , he gets of Siemens 400.000 Euros per year just because he helps to organize for Siemans some arabic meetings

Also I can resign of ARD , they are just because of the good tv rate (millions of viewers) at the Tour and not because they want to show cycling like Eurosport , I mean the commentators are boring like hell , emotion 0 also everytime Doping , I know since the Tour 2007 the doping thing , for 2008 they made it again

Also ARD is good for a laugh , maybe an example (the quote is from yesterday) :

«There isn´t a diffrence if a german , a spainard? or an american is caught.»

Mmmmm.... Ricco : "We are still sending" , Beltran and Duenas also , but because of a german they wouldn´t like to show it but they never mind of the nationality of a doper
