I said Vancouver has a team that could try it next year like this year or last year or 2009
I didn't said: Vancouver is so awful that they need a rebuild

Anyway great season by Canucks, they would really deserved the win,at least i am happy for Krejci as he was the best scorer and point-leader in playoffs

Jeff Carter has been traded to Colombus BJ's for Jakub Voracek and a bunch of draft picks. And to make room for Bryzgalov the most over-rated goalie in the league.
Edit: Also they traded away Mike Richards for Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds.
Philly GM is really dumb, trading away the two best defensive forwards on the team, for 2nd or 3rd line players and people that wont play next year.

Indeed quite strange to trade two best players, but you cant call Voracek 2nd or 3rd line player. He is imo one of the most talented players in the league,he should be the leader of czech team after Jagr quits.
Btw. where will nr.68 finish his career? In my favourite team Red wings or his "hometown" Pittsburg? Will be interesting to see,i believe he could still make a big impact on NHL |

Well I'm not sure "big" impact, but he could play 2nd line and scored 65 points.

I think the Phily trade was a good move. They got a rock solid goaltender signed, still have one of the best D-units and there offense will now get younger, but they still have Giroux, JVR and veteran Briere. |

Well then why not trade away Briere and his large salary if they wanted to get younger. Trading away the two best defensive forwards in my eyes is a bad move. Defensive forwards are very under-valued I find and trading away both of them when they can also easily score 60 goals combined isn't the smartest move imo.
They're going to have to rely on Schenn to get lots of points (which I dont think will happen, he's over-rated) and lots of goals from the defense.

i think the deal went down because in the playoffs Richards and Carter had 8 combined points while JVR and Giroux had 13. They remind me off Boston now. Great goalie and defense but always lacking in offense.
As for Jagr, I really hope he comes back to play in the NHL. he ones of my all time favourites and if he signs with Detroit its only a 3 hour drive to go watch him play |

Canucks are becoming, Danish Central. Also Jets are official. Cant wait for the new season now, and lots of nice new uni's. Also great trade by the Wild getting Setoguchi and Charlie Coyle, for Brent Burns.

I'm very pleased with Ottawa. Three great picks in the first round. I especially like Puempel because he is very talented but his stock fell because of injuries. |

Zibanejad is the coolest guy in the draft.
What a day for trades. Soupy to Florida for Olesz. Kinda one sided trade, but the Hawks need room for Sharp.
This explains it all:

Another sad day in the NHL. Rick Rypien of the Winnipeg Jets was found dead in his home. He was a great role player and I thought he could fit the mold well in Winnipeg. RIP.

I'm really hoping this is fake. He was already a fan favourite having played for the Moose a couple years ago, and one of my best friends really liked him Really hope its not true, and although I dont want to speculate, this might be linked to why he missed most of the season due to personal reasons.
RIP Rypien, you'll always be a part of hockey in Winnipeg.

Sorry but I think "why did they ruined it with these sleeves"?
I expected something like the home jersey without the sleeves as home and away jersey but this.. I think they missed an opportunity to perfectly restart a great franchise
And Wade Belak died.. I think the NHl really needs to get rid of fighting as everyone of them is told to fight and get paid for it
I can't believe some say it's needed in icehockey and that it's an important part
In the playoffs I remember there were very very few fights, so if they are important, why were there so less fights in the most important part of the season?

Get rid of fighting? It serves to add entertainment and to increase the games intensity. Its also is used intimidate the opponent and keep them from hurting your stars.
