Porte not starting today, hit his toe on the night stand and broke his knee.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Is the stage today too hard for guys like Viviani and Groenewegen? |

No but it's no walk in the park either, especially if the wind gets up. The finish doesn't suit them perfectly but it's doable - reportedly last 500m at 5%.

Yeah, that's why I'm in doubt. Lots of factors speak against them. Trying to decide whether to put Viviani or a more resistant guy like Ewan in my fantasy team for today. |

Could just as well be a breakaway stage today. It's been a hard Tour so far, not sure the sprinter teams have it in them to put in the work.

It's a hard one to call. I think the sprint teams have to work with so few opportunities and the rest day incoming. Whether they can finish it off is another matter.
If I had to bet I'd go for Ewan with Lotto being De Gendt inspired and him the most resilient of the pure sprinters...so probably go for anyone but him now I've cursed it!
If I was going for a "safe" pick then Sagan, like 80% of stages.

I'd go with Ewan in a mass sprint too considering the 5% gradient at the finish

Didn't realize he was riding the tour lol. Gotta get him on my hype-train list.

Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Let's hope they won't have him be a lead out so Kristoff can get a top 10 finish

Pinot, Fuglsang, Uran and Porte on the wrong side of the split of GC men and Groenewegen wrong side of sprinters. Porte wishing he didn't finally start stage 10...

Presumably Bennett going back for bottles means there was never a GC ambition for him? Too weird. Even just being up there would've been tactically useful for Jumbo though.
