Over the games yesterday, i have to say i liked the swiss match a lot better, i was rooting for the swiss all the way, and had frei ot got injured and they had got at least one of the two blatent penalty shouts it woul have been a win for the hosts. Apart from svetoslav (the striker that scored) the czech team was crap!!!!
In the other game i found that the portuguese were too arogant, it was like they almost expected to cake-walk the match, and the first half showed it as it was extremely boring. If Turkey had a better strike force it could have been a much better match, but as soon as the lazy son-bitches realised they had to work for the 3 points, portugal won the match easily.
Todays matches, i must say im not going to watch the first game, as neither of the teams interest me, but later the rivalry between germany and poland should come to a head, and i think this is the best polish team for years, it should be a good game!

Zlatan is a great football player, but I hardly think he is cool. He is the best we have though, so we need him to win.
Agreed that Linderoth is one of the most underrated there is, but he has been injured for a long time now, and in my opinion Källström did a good friendly, at least much better then Svensson
In the game against Ukraine on Råsunda I was there and Källström only hit the passes wrong. I don't trust Lagerbäck anymore. With Söderberg and him Sweden was great! But after Söderberg quit we have gone down. In Euro 2004 and WC 2002 Sweden was so good! UNlucky in the games we were relegated. I think Sweden finish last in the group. A draw against Greece, losing against Hiddink's Russia and get totally humiliated by Spain. |

Haha but the portugal match was better.. They played better and it was more enjoyable.. The swiss match was boring.. Both teamswere crap.. Czech team was more crappy though and swiss has no chance now that Frei is injured.. Marco Streller is shit. He really sucks !
Portugal had a goal disallowed in the first half.. Ronaldo hit the post on a free kick - Portugal played very fast the entire game and they played really good.. Deco, Nuno Gomes, Pepe really played well ..
Turkey isn't a bad team - and i predict that turkey will take the 2nd place in the group.. |

if the czechs play baros and svertos (or wtever his name is) they could be a much more attacking side, koller is too old and has very little movement. I thought the portugal match was very boring, i mean yeas it had more goals but the portuguese were too arrogant in there football, i nearly fell asleep
Yes Streller was crap! i agree but they should have had a penalty for that obvious obstruction with his hand, was the ref blind. I think Derdyock could be a good player in a few years, and i thought that the winger who they likened to beckham looked quite good.
For that group im saying
1. Portugal (only if they play less arrogant football)
2. Czech Republic
3. Turkey
4. Switzerland
Group B:
1. Germany
2. Poland
3. Croatia
4. Austria
Group C:
1. Holland B)
2. France
3. Romania
4. Italy
Group D:
1. Spain
2. Russia
3. Sweden
4. Greece

Koller's movement is brilliant and the way he uses his teammates is breathtaking. he doesn't have the stamina for a full game, but without him, the czech attack doesn't work.

Ok kollers movemant was rubbish, even the commentators picked up on the fact that he was useless. Whenever he was up for a cross he didnt have any movement and never got the ball, there was a time when he just had to stretch a bit more for a free header, but couldnt do it, hes past it.
And arrogant football is when they almost expect to walk out and win it without even breaking a sweat, and portugal did that against turkey, they thought they would cake-walk it, but they shouldnt underestimate anyone in the tournament. If they play too there hardest e.g 100% effort then they would trash turkey, but they got too arrogant..

I think Zlatan should be benched so we can play Henke-Allbäck or Henke-Elmander. Because Zlatan don't work well together with Larsson |

well, I agree with the guest commentator over here (Porto's manager Jesualdo Ferreira) in that Koller's movement was quite brilliant, as has always been in his career. I guess we just disagree

I'm portugal's worst critic, but you've got nothing there. if you look at the statistics of how much each playe and team ran, you'll see they ran a lot more kms than Turkey despite playing short passing, plus the fact they went Gung-Ho from the start.
Arrogance isn't a problem of this team. it's the opposite. self-confidence is a problem. |

Indeed, Koller is still a nice guy to have...and besides Baros has been crap ever since that last EC where he shined and its not like Sverkos is the answer just because he happened to score yesterday
btw Deco was the only dissapointment for me on Portugal's side, he really lost the ball way too many times..still the Turks were really clumsy, like when that defender kicked Simao into 2 pieces and hurted himself while doing that and when Nihat and Tuncay sort of ran up against eachother
today, I think Austria can score today against Croatia's aging defense but they wont win, 1-3. And Germany will beat Poland, I saw Poland and scoring is really their big problem so it will be either 1-0 or 2-0 I think.
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

I don't like Zlatan much, but he and Larsson work very well together. That's why every expert wants those two. |

No matter what people say you CAN'T bench a player like Zlatan .. Not when we talk about the swedish national team .. And he and Larsson work together very well .. |

That's like saying England can't bench Michael Owen
Owen used to be a prolific striker and now people think he is England's only hope of goals.
Zlatan had 1 good tournament a few years ago and his reputation has gone through the roof. He isn't that good to be considered pivotal to Sweden's squad.
They're both living and getting picked off past performances. I'd want Larsson and Allbäck playing up front or make Allbäck play on his own with midfielders linking up to him.

In all fairness, Owen has lived his entire footballing career on that one goal against Argentina
