Ya we hope so Smile
Cataldo will be getting older and start to decline, so maybe a few beers will convince him to stay at a lower salary as a domestic under a new leadership Pfft

Paris – Tours

We dont get in the breakaway, but for some obscure reason we are working in the peloton though we are hardly a top 3 team Frown

Just unbelivable that Oscar Gatto could lose 14’36 on a stage like this without crashing Sad

Stage 1:
We are missing the breakaway!
With the break over both Kebede and Bratashcuk within the first 10-15 riders at the last ramp towards the finish. Kebede with the best acceleration makes it 7th Bratashcuk 20th.

Belletti amongst the first group of 15-20 riders, at 2 km.
With a very fine last km he makes it to a photo finish fight for 2nd, and claim the last podium.

Tour of Britain

Stage 5:
Another breakaway with no riders from our team.
It is a stage of mixed feelings, Andrii Bratashcuk having the best legs today likely to improve on his youth position but Estifanos Kebede is not at his best falling behind at the last climbs.

Stage 6:
Finally we get Federico Rocchetti in the breakaway. Nice to have our colors out there all day and he also takes a load of KoM points.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/C2HC/britain/MG17_britain_6_002.jpg

Rocchetti gets caught with just 2.7 left and now he and Bratashcuk are able to help Estifanos Kebede on the last crucial part, Estifanos Kebede just miss a podium but still a great stage for the team as Andrii Bratashcuk also takes the youth lead.

Federico Rocchetti again in the breakaway, sadly also the KoM leader in the group but still. Scoring some KoM point he moves up to 3rd.

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2017/Races/C2HC/britain/MG17_britain_7_001.jpg

The terrain call for a “puncher” sprint and Estifanos Kebede does quite well especially on the last 50 meters taking the last podium. Also Andrii Bratashcuk hold on to his youth lead.

After an anonymous race Samuel Ssabagwanya find his way into the breakaway. Turns out to be good news as the breakaway will take the stage. Not the best sprint and he gets in 6th, but better than no one in the break.

Stage 4: Mt Fuji (mountain) ITT

Dario Cataldo 29th at + 2'28, not the best result but actually better than most GC contenders and moves up to GC 6th.

Diego Rosa and more importantly Dario Cataldo is in the rather large group inside the last km, getting the same time as the stage winner, but Cataldo sadly moves down to GC 7th because of bonus seconds.

The last goal of the season we need a top 10 result here.

Cataldo seems to have explosive legs today, opening the race of the favourites from 23 km

Press release from Directeur Sportif, Imelda Chiappa:

As our General Manager Mr. Katsuta-san expressed it on an internal meeting you can and should always strive for more, but that said the team management is satisfied with what we have achieved this season.
We had 5 major humble goals and 4 of them stood the test of time.

Goals
CT Team StandingsTop20
Vuelta al TachiraWin
Tour d'AndorraTop10
Giro del TrentinoTop10
Colombian VenteauxTop10

With an pressed situation where we had to finish transfers early and basically no knowledge of neither transfers nor schedule under the MG banners, we could only expect to end up in the low end of CT and as such must be very pleased to be just inside the better half.

General Manager Mr. Katsuta also expressed his ambitions that next season he would like to but not stress to achieve promotion, but he would expect a better CT standing, which is to say inside top 10.

Finally he would like to thank all the riders doing a good job out there on the roads and highlight those that did brilliant:
