Haha, nice spotting Jesleyh, but it doubt it's our Ian Russell. At least the ride isn't on his strava profile.

@Scatmaster: You rode the Junior RR, how did it go?
I only did the Road Race. I didn't particularly like the course because of its sharp steep hills rather than steady climbs, but I feel like I did as well as could be expected. I finished 7th, my teammate 5th (and 3rd in the TT).

Lennard Kämna takes the German U23 TT title with a gap of 6 seconds over Stölting team mate Politt (who got 6th in the Bayern TT) and 49 seconds over rather unknown Nils Schomber.
Average speed over the 30km course was ~50.55 km/h.
He's 18.
The elite starts in 30 minutes, but it's obviously gonna be the most boring TT all season long.
I'm calling Tony, Gretsch, Arndt, Sütterlin.

Was anyone else surprised that Kämna didn't end up with Bora-Argon18? I thought it was bizarre.

Stölting approached him way before his Worlds win already, so he wasn't really as widely known as after that and they got to an agreement rather uncontested.
I'd say they have a much more suited race program to a junior just coming into the professional scene as well as a good track record with talents with Bauhaus and Mager going PCT already and Herklotz not far away of that level either.
There's still plenty of time for him to slowly go up the ranks, no need to rush into a top team yet.
If everything works out this year, Stölting should finally be in contention for the ProContinental licence anyway that they had to miss out on in the off-season.
If they should fail to do that, he only signed a one-year contract anyway so he's free to choose his future.
He also wanted to graduate school this March first, so Stölting probably were more accommodating in that regard too.
And to be fair, Stölting emerged from "Team Raiko - Argon 18" in 2012 so in a way there's still a connection

1. van den Broeck
2. Lampaert +0'42''
3. Vandewalle +1'07''
Yves with silver medal!
Great TT by VDB. Campenaerts started really fast but faded.

No suprises also in the Belarusian ITT Championships - Kiryienka won it ahead Samoilau ( ) and Krasilnikau.

Stölting is probably the better fit for him, I just didn't know the reason how they got the deal when he would've been hot topic after Worlds.

Damn you De Gendt. Will he ever regain the form of the 2012 Giro?

De Gendt even got defeated by the famous time trialer Tom Boonen.
Anyway, good win for VDB. In the autumn of his career, he's becoming a very good time trialer at the cost of climbing. I mean really good. 42 seconds on the 2nd and over a minute on Vandewalle and Devolder, that's a lot!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Preidler beats Zoidl for the NC TT jersey. Curious how it will look.

Yeah and almost an hour at 50 kph, that's impressive.
He should refocus. In my opinion, his Grand Tours are done. Time to do something else and focus on this time trialing and perhaps even stages in grand tours or something. |

So Nibali won his second consecutive Italian RR championships. We are going to spot that Hungarian NC jersey in the peloton yet another year.

Was a good race. Nibali just kept attacking and animating the race, finally getting rid of Reda (wtf...) and Ulissi at the 2 km mark. Too early to say, but this looks like completely like 2014 Nibali.
Also reminds me how much I love watching cycling in Italian, the commentators just seem so more passionate

I don't know how it is in Denmark, but probably the biggest reason why I got into cycling is that Roberto Vacchi (the Swedish commentator on Eurosport) is so passionate when he commentates. Maybe he is so passionate because he has Italian origins.

Valverde won the spanish NC ahead of Barbero and Jesus Hernandez. As many NC-jerseys in the Tour, please - apart from the hungarian one |

Oh my god, Pete Kennaugh just destroyed the field up the climb in the GB nationals. Small group away now. |
