NFL 14/15

I wouldn't give more than a 4th for a 28 year old RB in his 8th season, who's also a free agent at the end of this year and will demand a big salary. But you know, lol Raiders.

100% agree with soso in this situation...

Wherever he goes, he should be better help to my fantasy squad Smile

I read an article today about how they may be the unluckiest NFL team in a long time Pfft

POWER RANKINGS:

32. Oakland Raiders (0-7) (/)
-- Put up a decent figh against Cleveland for over half of the game this weekend. They fell short, and it is not going to get any easier the next few weeks. They play last years super bowl teams the next 2 weeks, and many people are beginning to question if 0-16 is a legit possibility.

31. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-6) (-1)
-- They dominated Miami on both sides of the ball for the first half, but were still losing at halftime. Then Bortles threw a second pick 6 which put the game out of reach. Jacksonville went back to their old play the 4th quarter and got squashed.

30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-6) (+1)
-- They managed to get to overtime with Minnesota this week, but that was it. They lost on the first play of OT, and they started with the ball. Not the way they were hoping to end the game. They also traded a few players away at the trade deadline for a few draft picks, which could indicate the team is about to attempt a rebuilding phase.

29. Tennessee Titans (2-6) (/)
-- Z. Mettenberger looked bad in his first start. The Titans have some serious QB issues if Jake Locker can't play anytime soon. JJ Watt tore apart the offense alone, and the Titans defense didn't look all that great either.

28. New York Jets (1-7) (-1)
-- There is some positive for the Jets. Vick will finally get to practice with the first team and start the next game, which, if they win, could secure Vick as the starter in New York. Playoffs are out of the question for this team, but they could still make an impact to other teams if Vick plays well.

27. Minnesota Vikings (3-5) (+1)
-- Won the game in OT in Tampa. Bridgewater looked good, but the run game needs improvement. The defense did solid, but they allow the deep pass too often. Minnesota is not out of it yet, but they would surely be in better shape with AP running the ball for them.

26. St. Louis Rams (2-5) (-2)
-- Just as this team was looking so good, they look bad again. Kansas City tore them apart, with more injuries hitting the Rams, which is horrible news. The Rams would be lucky to see 5-6 wins at this point, but QB A. Davis continues to improve each week. It will be interesting to see what happens next year at QB for the Rams.

25. Atlanta Falcons (2-6) (-2)
-- Atlanta was up 21-0 against Detroit in the first half. They lost 21-22 on a last second FG, that Detroit actually made. This loss could very well have put a train wreck in any hopes they had of advancing in the standings, but not so fast. They are in arguably the worst division in the league, and with a hot streak, they could still squeeze into the playoffs even at 8-8.

24. Washington Redskins (3-5) (+2)
-- Colt McCoy came in for his first start, and beat #2 Dallas in OT by a Field Goal. Of course, Tony Romo got hurt, which could be a reason why, but McCoy looked good in the game. Firing to D. Jackson would help any QB, and the defense actually stepped up big time in the game. It will be interesting to see if Colt keeps playing this well over the next few weeks.

23. Chicago Bears (3-5) (-1)
-- Another bad news bears performance from the Bears. They got manhandled by New England so bad that the subs played the second half for New England. Chicago started out good, but the last 2 weeks have been nothing that will advance them higher in the standings. Jay Cutler needs to step up in the next few weeks or this team will have to rely on Forte.

22. New Orleans Saints (3-4) (+3)
-- The team is 3-0 at home, and 0-4 on the road. They are in Carolina for a Thursday night game coming off of a Sunday night win against Green Bay. The trend says they will lose, which would put them on pace for 8-8, which is a reasonable assumption at this point. Like Atlanta, they are still very much alive in the division, especially since they play Carolina this week, division leader.

21. Cleveland Browns (4-3) (/)
-- Decent win over league worst Oakland. Playing in arguable the toughest division in the league, this team is still last despite playing at their best level in years. Another cakewalk in Tampa this week, wait... I said that 2 weeks ago when they lost to Jax. We'll see how they play this week.

20. Miami Dolphins (4-3) (/)
-- Tannehill is the first QB to have a 30+ yard run in 4 straight weeks since Michael Vick in 2004. The read option works for these guys, and Miami is continuing to play very well in the second half. A win against San Diego this week would make 5 great performances in a row, and put them higher on the radar.

19. Buffalo Bills (5-3) (/)
-- Buffalo blew out the Jets this week with 4 INT's in the first quarter. Kyle Orton has done better than expected since taking over. Even though they have endured some tough injuries, they have powered through them and are just 1 game behind New England in the division. They have off this week, so they could be tied with Miami.

18. Houston Texans (4-4) (/)
-- After a horrid second half last week, they played much better this week, especially in the run game. They still need to get Andre Johnson involved more, but Bill O'Brien is having a good year as first year coach. 8-8 is a strong possibility here, which wouldn't necessarily be a disappointment.

17. New York Giants (3-4) (/)
-- Coming off a bye week, they have 4 very tough games coming up. It will be interesting to see how they perform, and winning 3 of these would be considered a major achievement. They are still in contention for a wildcard playoff spot if they can start out at LEAST 5-6.

16. Carolina Panthers (3-4-1) (-1)
-- This team is all over the place. One game they are blowing out the other team, and the next game they are losing. They were playing better than Seattle all of last week, but they lost in the last quarter. It would have been a pretty big win that extended their lead in the division too. They can still do that this week if they beat New Orleans, which is horrible on the road.

15. Baltimore Ravens (5-3) (-2)
-- The momentum they had over the last few weeks was halted by a loss to Cincinnati. In a tough division, they will need to get back to winning soon if they hope to stay in contention for the division crown. Flacco still played very well, and will need to do the same against rival Pitt this week.

14. Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) (/)
-- 4-1 in the last 5 games. 3 out of their next 4 are easily winnable, giving them a favourable schedule similar to last year. The Chiefs are in big competition for that last wildcard spot though, and there are many teams at 4-3 and 5-3 right with them in the hunt. Some good news are the wins against Miami & San Diegom, which would give them a tiebreaker advantage.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) (+3)
-- The Steelers team we saw this week was one we have not seen in awhile. They dismantled the Colts with no problems, and Big Ben was in peak form. The Steelers could be a very dangerous team halfway through the season that could easily content for the division with a win over Baltimore this week.

12. San Francisco 49ers (4-3) (/)
-- Did not play this week, they will start the catch up to Arizona this week as they play St. Louis, a game they should be able to win. 9-7 should be the worst that this team does, and with the way Seattle has been playing so far, a Thanksgiving win could be brewing for this team.

11. Seattle Seahawks (4-3) (-2)
-- They won, but the downfall of this team continues. From 1 to 5 to 7 to 9 to 11 in 5 weeks. It took the last drive for them to beat Carolina, but they looked sloppy doing it. Harvin is gone, Lynch does not want to be there, and nobody will throw Sherman's way. Seattle will be struggling just to get a wildcard if they keep performing they way they have been.

10. Green Bay Packers (5-3) (-3)
-- Lost to New Orleans this week as Rodgers looked a bit off of his game. Lacy was having trouble finding running room, and Jordy Nelson wasn't involved enough. The defense looked lost at times also. The Packers are still in good shape with Detroit barely ahead of them, and they play lackluster Chicago this week, who they have already destroyed once.

9. Detroit Lions (6-2) (+2)
-- Great comeback win against Atlanta overseas. Never count this team out when they are behind. They have key playmakers on both sides of the ball, and will get a much desired bye week before playing some tough games against Miami, Arizona & New England.

8. San Diego Chargers (5-3) (-2)
-- A pretty rough loss to league best Denver this week. Rivers still played good, but the defense could not stop Peyton. The Chargers are still a force to be reckoned with, and the favorite wildcard team of the AFC. They will travel to Miami this week, where they lost last year.

7. Cincinnati Bengals (4-2-1) (+3)
-- After 3 games in a row without winning, it looks as if Cincinnati is firing on all cylinders again. Even with A.J. Green being hurt, Dalton spread the ball around especially in the last quarter as they defeated division rival Baltimore to regain the lead. Pittsburgh is also right there in the mix, so they will need to keep winning games the next few weeks, which they should be able to do.

6. Indianapolis Colts (5-3) (-1)
-- The Colts offense put up 34 points this week, but they still lost. This was a poorly executed defensive effort, especially with Pittsburgh's rank coming in. Indianapolis is still a very good team, and this loss should have little affect on the division, as the only worry they would have is Houston, who is still a few games behind.

5. Dallas Cowboys (6-2) (-3)
-- Is the Dallas collapse coming early? After peaking at #2 in the rankings, they were upset in OT by Washington this week. They can't afford to lose Romo, so he will need to rest up and get healthy. Relying on D. Murray too much could get him hurt as well, which would be a disaster. They are still tied up with Philadelphia in the division, so no worried yet.... YET.

4. New England Patriots (6-2) (+4)
-- Ever since the first few weeks of the season, New England has turned it on. Surging up the rankings, they have been winning big lately. Tom Brady is like a madman trying to prove that he is still one of the best. His WR's especially B. LaFell, have really stepped it up. The defense has been playing way better as well.

3. Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) (/)
-- Lost to a team just as good as them this week, and barely. Proving Philly is as good as the best, they are neutral at 3 this week. The division might come down to the 2 games they have with Dallas this year. All around, Philadelphia has been playing very good football, Foles & Maclin are getting better chemistry each week.

2. Arizona Cardinals (6-1) (+2)
-- The Cardinals keep moving up, yet people are still not talking about this team and they shoud be. C. Palmer really is doing a spectacular job, and Ellington has healed very nicely. Not to mention the defense is playing extraordinarily well at this point. They are slowly moving closer to winning the division this year.

1. Denver Broncos (6-1) (/)
-- Still the best. They defeated yet another Top 5 team in San Diego, and have the chance to do it again this week against New England. Peyton Manning is playing so well right now, and the WR's are also very hot. The defense has been consistently stopping the run game and the Broncos are on their way to a #1 seed.

Just wondered what you guys thought about all the pass interference penalties being called this season.

One game a little "coming together" is flagged, in another game the same exact incident, it`s a no flag play..!

When someone such as Gruden on MNF says "Mike I don`t know what Pass Interference is anymore" you got to think something is wrong.

and whilst I`m here....

Whats the point of having former expert officials in New York who review the play for the TV stations and tell all us veiwers " This one is going to be overturned, you can clearly see the reciever doesn`t have full possession of the ball",only to see the referee on the field tell us all "The reciever had possession and the play stands as called on the field"

This just makes everyone look silly.

So for Halloween, the NFL released a list of the "scariest" defenses..

In it, the listed Denver, Kansas City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Miami as the Top 5.

I must say, I am happy someone is finally giving Miami credit. They came into the season extremely underrated when they should not have been. They are 3rd in rush defense right now and 7th overall.

They also put Oakland as 6 for the fact that they are "scary bad"

Okay... fuck me, so not only did we not have Cushing and Clowney to begin the game...

Then we lost:

Joseph, Kareem Jackson, Mercilus, Foster, and had a not 100% JJ Watt ...

I'm surprised we actually lost by 10 points, albeit the offense still was shit, if it were not for those three picks I'm sure it would have been a blowout.
