A couple of hills towards the finish. Will the break win again, or will the punchers take it?

Today we have a break of Kloden, Barguil, Mourey, Flecha and Pineau.

Kittel is once again the best in the sprint. Sagan seems to to be back again; no points for him.


With 30km to go there is a split. Just 66 riders left in the peloton, but all the main GC guys are there.


Then on the penultimate hill Gilbert, Gerrans and Sagan attack. There are 9km to go.


With 5km left Barguil is alone. He has 11" to the rest of the break, who have 47" to the attackers.


On the final hill (5km to go) Barguil is caught. The others are 41" behind.


But they make the catch soon enough. Sagan and Gilbert just keep going, while Gerrans is looking tired.


Sagan leads into the sprint. It's close for 3rd as well, with Kloden holding it.


But it's a win for Sagan and Cannondale. Obviously Gilbert is second.


Kloden holds on for third.


Nibali is the best from the peloton. No real GC shake-up today, but Sagan does take the Green Jersey.

Here we are. Mont Ventoux. Today we will see who the main few are for this Tour.

Today in the break are Malacarne, Cunego, Chernetskiy and Sorensen.


Finally Greipel shows up. He is the best in the peloton at the sprint.


The first attacks come with 54km to go. It's Kruijswijk, Favre, Barguil and De Gendt.


With 18 left the big boys start to move. Quintana leads the attacks, followed closely by Froome and Contador.


Nibali joins them soon enough.



There is a 17 man group up front with 15km to go. Valverde and Rolland are missing.


With 10km to go Quintana leads Froome by 49 seconds.


Van Garderen, Meyer and Valverde attack at this point, with Bardet trying to follow.


Quintana has 1'04 with 5km to go. He should win.


Yes! Win for the Colombian!


Froome takes a comfortable second, but he will lose his Yellow Jersey.


Nibali passes Contador to get 3rd
