Just wondering, has anyone crashed during the sprint in Paris and been forced to withdraw from the race?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Comparing average speed on totally different courses is very pointless. |

I was wondering this too! Like anyone in a jersey or Top 10 that couldn't continue?
I'd feel really bad if I was Valverde and Peraud couldn't continue but at the same time, you get onto the podium.

You can't have someone help you over the line (being carried by paramedics, or something), but do you have to cross the line on the bike? Say, you broke something serious, like you femur. Could you crawl over the line? Do you have to drag the bike with you?
If my option was to either withdraw from the Tour de France with something like 50 meter to go, or crawl the restof the way like some wounded animal, I honestly don't know what I would have chosen.

Can you please stop provoking people? You keep making absurd statements. No one agrees with them and you get called out and attack everyone that questions what you say (and for good reason).

Not sure if the rules have changed but Djamolidine Abdoujaparov crashed just before the line on the final stage in 1991 whilst in the greenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBtCaL...BtCaLYFKjo and was helped across the line by a whole bunch of people. He was on his bike but was not peddling or even really aware of anything

If i recall i think it was mentioned during a stage that the rules does not state that you have to finish on the bike, all it states is that you have to finish without any help.
So if you crash and can crawl with your bike across the line, you finish.
Its not like back in the day with the kid and the fire |

Norway have one guy in le Tour and gets 2 wins, 3 2nd places and one 3rd. Damn good for a small country like Norway to have one guy "always" there in the Tour.
Very proud of Alex.
Unfortunately was i on holiday to Cyprus the first 2 weeks and didnt have a TV channel who aired it.
Sport freak. Mostly interested in Football (Liverpool, Rosenborg with more), increasing interest in cycling.

@Keeperodd: Very good ofcourse, but if you have one top rider at a specific art of cycling like sprinting it's easier. If, for instance, Sep Vanmarcke is the only rider of the country in the Tour it's way harder to get good places. |

Yeah, of course. Norway have been fortunate with sprinters. Hopefully Holst Enger will continue it. We also have some good young climbers coming.
