Blame the rulebook. Don't blame the ref. He decided right according to UEFA/FIFA/Football rules about the sending off of Szczesny.
Anyway, I'd like to see how you stand your feet when you just land from a jump and the other player attacks the leg you are standing on. Jeez, I feel the pain even when just watching this gif. And no it wasn't high foot either from Robben as Szczesny clearly takes his own risk here by going into the duel.
Here, watch this GIF until you accept that Robben didn't dive and that Szczesny 's foul messed up an otherwise clear goal opportunity as he was last defender and thus the red card...
