So, with the racing over for this season, here's what some of our riders thought about it.
Michael Albasini
This was a good year. It was the first season of a new Team Orica and a new world of Cycling. It was brilliant racing with and against some of the neo-pros who did so well this year. For me, I believe it was a good season. I had a good result in the Strade Bianche, where I finished 2nd, while I also came 2nd on Stage 2 of the Vuelta a Pais Vasco. Otherwise, I did alright in the Giro d'Italia and the later season classics, while also in the Ardennes races. But best of all was being named the Road Race Champion of Switzerland. I am very proud to wear the jersey for the next year. Speaking of which, I am really looking forward to next season, because we are a very ambitious and we have great hopes.
Until then,
Alba
Sam Bewley
Well, another year. Of course I didn't come into it with great hopes, but I think that I produced a good series of results, including a few good results in time trials throughout the year. Hopefully we come out next season with some more talent and the same ambition, and stay well clear of the drop to the PCT.
Sam
Luke Durbridge
Wow. What a year. A silver in the World TT Championships, a few good results, a few disappointments. When I think of the good, I think Tirreno-Adriatico. I impressed myself there. When I think of the bad, I think Chrono des Nations. We had a hard goal to win there, and I was training so hard for it, but I just didn't impress. Luckily Svein picked up the slack, with a 2nd place, but that just makes me feel like I could've won it on a good day. Also, there was that whole press scandal. Don't worry though, if you hadn't heard, I'm staying. Don't worry guys, I'm staying, and there's no other place I'd rather be next season.
Sincerely,
Turbo Durbo

Hello Mr Rocking Oger,
As I finish the season I aim to move forward and grow as a rider ready for joining your team. I have had a strong start to my career with a stage win in the team time trial at the Tour with Team Astana, however i want to move on to be given leadership opportunities and to get away from the strong drug culture at the team, as during my time at the team I saw both Iglinsky brothers taking drugs, but I don't wish to cause any trouble and I hope that there inability to have any morals can be forgiven.
I'd just like to tell you that I am riding the Ghent, Amsterdam and Rotterdam 6 Day as part of my preparation for next year, my partner shall be my brother Jamel Johnson as we hope that a strong winter on the track will make us better riders for next year. I am looking forward to racing with my brother as we are very close and I haven't seen him much since we became pros.
Looking forward to Next Year

Diego knows but they shared a hotel at a Post Tour Criterium, and he saw it ALL! Diego would like to say, I am very disappointed with the behaviour of some cyclists who decided to take drugs, and I would like to say that I will do anything in my power to prevent cycling.

Season End
Hola,
so it's season end on this side of the globe too. Though it much more feels like summer is coming up. I have a contract for one more month here in Australia and I think I will stay here, enjoy the beaches and such. Then, I will head to Colombia to meet my new team. However, I may end up going back to basque country to live there, seeing as how Team Colombia aims at Europe anyway.
I was at the World Championships U23 races. I don't want to talk about the Time Trial, but the U23 Road Race wasn't particularly better. I did some pulls as we were riding for Herrada and De Las Campos but we played no role. I felt quite spanish a few days later though as Joaquim Rodriguez took the gold medal. Excuse my fauxpas please!
So, I'll start racing for Team Colombia next year. It's a welcome step down from World Tour to Continental Level, and I hope to show myself more in future races. I want to congratulate the Rocking Oger for keeping themselves in the WT. Luckily, Euskaltel - Euskadi managed it too! I wish this australian team and its manager all the best for the coming seasons and want to thank them for signing me. It was a great opportunity, I just wish I had been able to help more.
My favourite moment this season must be hands down my solo effort at the Japan Cup. I put in a lot of passion into this ride. Yes, maybe even some anger and confusion. I gave it all. Even when I got caught, I raced on for my team. I loved it and I hope to have more such performances next year.
See you sea-side!

Aidis Kruopis
The close of a good year. I feel like this year was a breakthrough one for me because I got some very good results. Probably my best result was when I got 3rd on a stage in the Volta a Catalunya, but I also got 7 other Top 10 placements throughout the year. I also became the Lithuanian champion. Next year I think will be a good one. I want to get 2 wins, and I think I can do it.
Simon Gerrans
What a year. A stage win at the Tour de France, wearing the Yellow Jersey for almost a week, becoming the first ever Aufrazian champiom. Wow. I had some good results in races such as the Japan Cup and also some other classics. I disappointed myself a bit in the Ardennes, where I wasn't able to pick up a Top 10. Hopefully next season I can pick up a few more wins and Top 10's.
Sebastian Langeveld
Well, I'm not sure what to say about this year. I had a pretty poor season, but I finished second in De Ronde! It's been my dream as a boy to win it, so doing that was so good. Especially because I beat guys like Boonen and Cancellara as well as all the traditional cobblers. Unfortunately Van Avermaet was too strong but next year I hope to go one better. Hey, one can dream right?

Was expecting that reaction
Some dealings are in progress which may well require Matthews to move the other way

That is about as borderline to pre-dealing as possible, if not through the door

Let me re-phrase, again:
I have enquired about riders, and people have said that they would need someone good in return. Therefore I have decided that Matthews will definitely go. BETTER!?
EDIT: To TMM: No, a pre-deal would be an agreement with another person for me to give them Matthews in exchange for someone else. What I meant to say (I did word it badly, admittedly) was that based on enquiries that I had made a rider of Matthews' calibre would have to be exchanged in one instance, which is why he is definitely going.

Cycleman, that is still pretty much a pre deal. You haven't even renewed the riders yet as they may not want to ride with you next season anyway.

No it's not a pre-deal because I've only mentioned Matthews to anyone in reply saying he is available. I just made the decision that he would be used.

Let's all be friends again and just let it drop, ok?
Cycleman just ensure please, that you will not make any more pre deals until we may. That would make it easier for everybody

I'm getting a bit annoyed that it always comes back to the same few people breaking the rules.
So you ask if you're allowed not to upgrade riders in the other thread, and Matthews is missing from your list. There's no reason not to give a free upgrade to a rider unless you already have a deal for him and you don't want to give the guy receiving Matthews to get an advantage (which is pretty lame by itself, in my opinion).
Next I get a PM from knockout that you are still making pre-transferdeals, and guess what, it was involving Matthews. And then we see these posts in your HQ. I need some time to think on how to deal with this.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
