Thanks a lot guys! I must admit I'm really liking the story/game so far. I hope you all agree Wink
I'm trying to get every rider involved by giving them all chances, so after Mallorca every rider will already have come in action!

Vuelta a Mallorca - Stage 1

We are a Spanish-Portuguese team, so this race is amazingly important to us. Actually it is our first goal from our sponsor. They want a top 5, which will be immensely difficult to achieve, with the likes of Contador here. Our team? Lopez, Rocha, Rodriguez, Zoli, Castillo, Garcia-Ramirez, Ritja, Mendes

The opening stage was a 90km criterium. I told you guys not to waste any energy, no attacks. A criterium like this will make your shit blow out your ass if you leave an opening. Tom Boonen is here, Cavendish is here. There are more stages coming, I told you to keep quiet.

One thing that struck us immediately: the amount of people who came to this race. It was an amazing experience!

imageshack.us/a/img836/9402/7x10.jpg

The local lap was perfectly balanced, going from the hectic of the big city to the serenity of the outdoors.

imageshack.us/a/img9/1948/ypd9.jpg

And then it was time for the sprint. Rocha asked a go and who am I to refuse that? He knows how to sprint!

Today I was standing in the audience, not in the team car. I was standing in a corner and suddenly I saw them passing at +60 km per hour.

I saw a flash.

Wait, was that Rocha, practically glued to Cavendish' wheel?

imageshack.us/a/img839/4225/gtpq.jpg

Holy cow! That guy knows how to fight for a wheel. This kid's got some pair of balls, let me tell you that.

He rode an impressive sprint, too!

imageshack.us/a/img194/482/6hv5.jpg

Cavendish took the win, obviously! Rocha did amazingly well!

@Rocha - Mate, take a look at who finished in front of you. Done? Then look at who finished behind you. Amazing job, brilliant positioning finished off by a strong sprint. Well done, you make us all proud!
@Mendes - Rocha owes a lot to you. You brought him to the front. You're looking good & strong, you've been training hard, I can tell!
@Lopez - I feel sorry for you. You came here from Colombia. I realize stages like these are pure hell for you. But don't worry, you didn't lose time and in two days you'll have the mountains all for yourself!

Its great to see the guys already competing in the race for the top places, albeit at busting a gut!

Also that was a big ol' Church you passed on Stage 1! Lets hope the priests stay away from the Alter boys!!! Pfft

Totti is a great fighter, he`ll easily win some KOMs or int. sprints, or even some stages.

Great to see the team spirit here! Rocha isn't done with sprinting just yet - Stage 2 coming up!!

Tried racing stage 3 but the stage won't load, I'll have to simulate it.

Vuelta a Mallorca - Stage 2

Another flat profile consisting of some local laps. The stage is longer so it won't be quite so fast as yesterday, though!

imageshack.us/a/img69/884/a0no.jpg

Mendes is getting some extra training here by taking the front for quite a while. We're putting a lot of trust in Rocha today!

imageshack.us/a/img30/9615/u8ha.jpg

The preparation for the sprint was messy, chaotic, hectic. Suddenly one train took the lead. To everybody's surprise, a little guy was hanging on Viviani's wheel: Zuñiga Rodriguez! He was leading out Rocha, but has lost him in the confusion!

imageshack.us/a/img197/9351/ywy7.jpg

But by some formidable stunt, Rocha found his way to the right wheel again. Finally I saw what looked like a sprint train coming from Telefonica! The result can count!

@Rocha - Another brilliant sprint! Keep this up, mate!
@Zuñiga - Excellent team work and great lead-out.
@Lopez - Not your best day today. You were chosen as our leader for the overall classification but you let yourself get caught in the wind. You lost valuable time and our sponsor's hope of top 5 is diminished terribly.

The Portuguese press has requested an interview with Miguel Rocha. I'll let the rider decide if he wants to do it or not. Let me know, lad!

Yeah, he rode a pretty good sprint! Just lacked speed in the final 100 meters, after leading out Rocha!

Perez has started a "rider headquarters" so I made space for riders like him in the original post. So far it's not that glamorous but it can grow! It all depends on how much time you want to spend here!

MIGUEL ROCHA - EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH A FUTURE STAR
Miguel Rocha, first of all, the readers will probably never have heard of you. Can you tell them who you are, please?
Well, I was born in Portugal, in Oporto, a well know city. Pretty city as well. I rode across juniors where I got good results and then mr. Ian aproach me and gave me the oportunity to ride in his team.

You are part of Telefonica - Portugal Telecom, a newly formed Spanish-Portuguese ProConti team. How has it been racing for that team?
Very good. All the rider's are very nice guys and the DD, he knows what he's doing and he's helping me develop as a rider.

Who's your best mate among the members of the team?
Well, I'm going to say the DD, Ian. He's a great guy and he's so far the responsible of the team sucess and my sucess as well.

At this moment you're racing in Mallorca, where you have managed to out-sprint seasoned, well-known sprinters on both occasions. How do you explain your success?
Apart from the DD and having already raced, It's my smartness. I read the race like nobody and I'm pretty smart at that. Know exactly where to go and wich wheel to take. And I use that to my advantage.

Now, at the team presentation, the team manager introduced you as a Classic Rider. You seem to enjoy the cobblestones and dirt roads. However, you're making your name with your speed now, would you ever consider making a career switch to sprinting?
Not exactly. My role model, Boonen could do very good in both and one day I wish I became like a Boonen v2.

José Giorcolio
