Enger has been sick lately though. That's why he wasn't in Flanders. I'd say Skjerping is a better candidate than him considering recent results.
How hard can it be?

What do you guys think about the biggest danish talents? Magnus Cort, Mads Pedersen, Mads Wurtz, Michael Carbel, Kristian Haugaard, Søren Kragh, Casper Pedersen, Magnus Bak Klaris and so how, how good can they become? What results can they achieve? Who will be the biggest star? Maybe a top 3 list over them... |

Magnus Cort is the most interesting, he had already good results in decent field races. I don't know much about the others |

Cort Nielsen indeed has the best results amongst pros winning Istrian Spring Trophy recently and especially two .HC stages last season.
Mads Pedersen is a massive talent, at least on par. Dominating sprints and time trials and won PR last season.
Don't forget Mathias Krigbaum in your list, a great TTer.

Agreed about Nielsen, looks really good rider.
I wouldn't look too much in junior results, many rider had amazing results at junior level, but never stepped up ( this is also true for U23 but much less nowadays I'd say )

Well there's no other way for us to judge potential if you don't happen to be their coach
Though there are indeed some Danish riders not living up to their talent, have you ever heard of Ostergaard or Guldhammer again?
And I guess Valgren Andersen doesn't fall under the kind of category you're interested in anymore now that he's on a WT team already?

Well true, but still we can't say which one is the most talented or which one will specialize in what, far too early. Especially in juniors I feel. Of course you pick out the talented riders though and know which terrains they will perform best at - but you can't say how far developed they are.
Example of many Dutch cyclists from Rabo CT failing at WT level as their have already as youngsters reached their potential and could not improve much further.
Was the Valgren question to me or the OP btw ?

That was for the OP of course.
Yep, Rabo CT was what I was hinting at with Guldhammer and Ostergaard.
I was just trying to give an answer to the best of my knowledge, but surely if we were to be completely honest, we'd have to say "no real idea who will excel on PCT or WT level in a few years, sorry".

Well, finally Ewan and Groenewegen will be absent tomorrow in Picarde.
I think the winner will be one of these riders:
Kristoffer Skjerping, Nicolas Marini, Owain Doull, Liam Bertazzo, Tiesj Benoot

Also there is other side of coin, riders coming from cross or MTB, that make other U23 road dominators look like kids with their entry to WT racing. You know who i am talking about here.

Boudat is a big talent in my eyes. World Omnium champion aged 19 a few months back, looks like a Coquard/Demare so interested to see how he does.
Good shout
La Côte Picarde (1.Ncup)
Having read small interview that Benoot would not be leader today and woukld help his teammates (and his condition before LBL) Belgian team really played their cards well.
With 3km to go 9 riders attacked. And they made it to the finish. Wallays won from that group to take the win.

Wallays a bit of a surprise, has had some decent results on hilly parcours before but has been very inconsistent. It'll be interesting to see how he builds on this victory.
Boudat proving me right, shame he couldn't win but never mind. Now to get him added to the Man-Game with Demare like stats just for cio. |

If you want him like that better to wait a season before adding him then While he'll get some results I think next year will be much bigger for him in terms of results.
