MrUfo87 - Thanks! Monfort will need to grow a bit to tackle a GT successfully more, though...
sutty68 - Well, it was easier conquering that podium place than staying on it
baia - That's just awesome
krisa - don't worry, I'm extinguished Paris - Roubaix tomorrow!
Jesleyh - By donating money
Thanks for the big support! |

Well done on the classics win, how can the team top that?

sisse - Glad you're enjoying it, will keep it up I'm playing on Hard at the moment.
The Rider - A GT win would top that, but with Monfort as our strongest GC rider, we stand no chance this year |

Well, it was an odd race for us. Greg didn't produce a full effort, mostly because his main goals are the Ronde and the Ardennes, so he can't go 110% every race. Rik stepped up and filled his shoes, sort of. Read on...
OPQS is not having the best season, today's a chance to make that right!
Cancellara escaped out of the front group. Very dangerous! We had to react quickly or he would have been gone.
We worked together with other teams. With less than 30 kilometers left to go, we had two guys in the front group: Greg and, surprisingly, Rik.
As they were pulled back, the group thinned out. There were still some riders in front so they couldn't drop the pace. Nobody was willing to work to Rik took the front.
After several attacks, it looked like nobody had any intention of relaying with Rik, so he tried to attack, too. Sagan reacted immediately.
But they all came too late. Lars Boom finally takes his dream: Paris - Roubaix!
Rik would be sprinting for a precious top 10 place, so it seems. To get that, he would have to beat Sagan and Kristoff, though!
Unbelievable but it's true, he did it! Rik Steenacker debuts with a 9th place, amazing work by the young 20 year old boy!

Isn't it obvious? Rik is doing good. He'll be racing in the Amstel and then he'll go on a deserved break.
I was even shocked to see his very first fan club on the internet already! We hope it gets a lot of members, obviously. Let's hope they'll be cheering for him in the Amstel Gold Race!
See you then,
- Butler - |

What a couple of weeks of success. First from Greg and now the latest by Rik. Not just keeping up with but beating some of the top names in the sport.
Great stuff from the team, long may it continue.
Top work Ian, loving the reports. Just the write length and I like the fact that you use more concise reports for the smaller races (do you simulate these or race them all?)
One critical point I am afraid...quite frankly your son seems a bit of a shambles in comparison to the rest. If his contract is up for renewal soon...don't bother. In fact dismiss him from your family completely and adopt Rik...we like him more!

krisa - Thanks, it was a great race for him!
sutty68 - beating Sagan felt really good first Greg does it in Vlaanderen, now Rik in Roubaix. Poor Sagan
Selwink - That was the race indeed Burghardt was a leftover of an escape with 90 km left to go. Peloton stopped chasing for a while so he and Paolini hung on.
TimoCycling - Well, Greg already had a long season and now he's preparing for the Ardennes to lead alongside Monfort, so he can afford to slack off once
baia - That's just great
Daggen - Thanks! What hash-tags?
FreitasPCM - Thanks a lot, good to see you here
owen10ozzy - Beating Kristoff and Sagan in the sprint was a great move from him. I think he earned a spot on the Tour squad. I'm glad you like the reports. I always try to make it long enough to give you plenty of information, but not too long so that it's boring.
It depends on what race and who's racing. Sometimes I feel like racing smaller races, sometimes I simulate them.
Concerning the son, we'll see when his contract is up for renewal. Like I said at the beginning, being a family member is no guarantee for a spot, he'll have to earn it! But we do like to give talent time to develop
Thanks for plenty of support! Not sure when I'll report on the Amstel. Either this evening or tomorrow, depending on how much work I get done! |

Nice, this team's DS must be quite an expert strategist.
Roelandts second.

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
